Each of the games are fun for what they are, but unfortunately there's just not quite enough going on. The rounds are over quickly, and there's not a huge variety, meaning you'll probably have your fill before long. It's a well crafted game that looks and sounds great, but there just isn't an awful lot to sink your teeth into. Cake Bash is cute and unique in its art direction, but it lacks variety and feels dull in a sadly short amount of time.

Overall, Cake Bash is a worthy addition to your library. If you enjoy battle royale games, this one is a stellar example of the genre. You can hop online for some fun, and if you join the Coatsink Discord channel, there are frequently people there looking for some fellows to play with. Now, maybe it’s just me, but this is the type of game can cause high levels of rage, and/or create enemies out of the best of friends. Make sure you actually put those joy-con straps on your wrist, or you might end up with a few broken controllers.
