Dead Z Meat
Critic Reviews for Dead Z Meat
As a light gun shooter, Dead Z Meat is novel since the genre is so rare nowadays in the home console space, and players can overcome the finicky control scheme with some practice. The shooting gallery setup has so few variations that it can quickly grow old, while the lack of multiplayer seals the game's fate. If you have a remote interest in this title, you'll want to wait for a deep discount.
Dead Z Meat is a fun silly zombie shooter with some glaring control issues. Its not as good as shooter games seen on the Wii or older consoles but if you’re hungry like a Zombie this is a decent but flawed attempt on Switch. For me it was the right amount of silly I needed right now. I hope the developers get another crack at this formula and return with a more polished experience next time.
The Zombie genre is an oversized bloated mess. With nearly every game under the Sun featuring Zombies or an Undead army of some shape or form. Then on the other end of the spectrum is the classic light-gun shooter. This genre that was mainly seen in Arcades has died a death and fell into the annals of history. Considering how the Nintendo Switch is designed, I’m surprised that more developers haven’t attempted to adapt the classic light-gun shooter to the console.
