Dungeons 2 isn't all that original, but its classic Dungeon Keepers roots makes for an enjoyable RTS game.

Dungeons 2 is nowhere near the level I wanted it to be. It would have been nice to see an evolution of the dungeon management genre that takes things to the level of complexity of city-builders like Pharaoh or Zeus.

Dungeons 2 is two so-so games that could be one great one. The idea of building an evil empire is an intriguing one, but things could be so much more fleshed out. Those with a penchant for cheeky humor will find much to love here, but those looking for some speedy, depthful gameplay best take heed.

While Dungeons 2 is no hidden gem or game of the year candidate it certainly does have its quirks and fun gameplay to make it a worthy addition to one's game library.

Realistically all I was going into Dungeons 2 with was the hope that I would get something vaguely reminiscent of Dungeon Keeper on my PlayStation 4, and I wasn't disappointed there by any means. I can't see myself pulling this one up quite as often as I do the other two Kalypso games I have on my PS4 – Tropico 5 and Grand Ages: Medieval, but by the same token I don't regret my time spent with this in the slightest.

Dungeons 2 is a game with some nice ideas, some of them borrowed and some of them original, but for the most part it can't quite put them together cohesively. There are also issues with the PlayStation 4 version that are likely not there in the PC version, such as the controls.
