MultiVersus Reviews
MultiVersus remains exceptionally fun to play. The fighting mechanics are solid, the mashup of characters works astonishingly well, and the roster is so diverse that you never tire of it. It's a real shame, then, that the extreme pressure to spend money is so evident. Paying ten euros to unlock a character (which was playable in the beta) is exorbitant, and the grind is too steep to truly enjoy the game. This isn’t a new trend with Warner Bros. games; Mortal Kombat 1 and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League also suffered from similar issues. If you can look past the endless grind, MultiVersus is a fantastic free-to-play game, but that is a unique skill in itself.

MultiVersus could have been a multi-platform answer to Super Smash Bros. However, the staggering cost of characters locks much of the fun behind paywalls or extensive grinding which will turn most players off.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the game, but for now, it delivers on its potential and the potential for an even brighter future exists.
MultiVersus is a pretty good platform fighter, which, however, has taken a turn for the worse in many aspects. The developers should think a few times about some gameplay decisions, because, unfortunately, in the opinion of players, they have become quite misguided.

When this game was announced, and I heard it was free-to-play, I was extremely skeptical. Once I got my hands on the game earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this game was. Multiversus feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s exciting to see something new in this genre after so many years of Super Smash Bros. Don’t get me wrong, I love Smash Bros, but there comes a time when you want something brand new in the same space.
It is hard for a platform-fighting game to live up to the hype and the legacy that Super Smash Bros has brought to the gaming industry. MultiVersus, however, has shown they have the potential, the product, and the hype to develop into a great potential franchise. MultiVersus is a game that is highly addicting as there are different schemes and goals to keep me invested. The game looks to add several more characters and stages as time goes on. Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty is set to be included in MultiVersus in early August. There will be several other skins and battle passes options that will be tempting to buy. If the game was not free, it might not be as popular, but they are taking a page out of Fortnite’s book to get people to play for free and potentially have them buy their products. Regardless, MutliVersus is a game that looks to improve over time. For a game that has had a strong start while in its beta stage shows, it could be a big favorite for years to come.
What was first seen as another Smash Bros clone has become something unique and isn’t afraid to try something different, which has been received very positively. Will it dethrone the legendary Nintendo game as the premiere 2D platform fighter? Probably not, but it doesn’t need to. Instead, it stands out on its own, with its various iconic characters that date back almost a century to the exciting, intense, and fun fast-paced teamwork gameplay with smooth online and cross-platform experience. MultiVersus packs a punch and is here to stay.
MultiVersus is good and it's worth investing some time in it even if it's just to get to know it. However, what is observed is its potential, which sees a promising future on the horizon by fixing some balance and launch problems. Over time, they will usually be fixed and will certainly make MultiVersus become a protagonist within its genre by being able to unite the strength of Warner characters with a minimally competent production, something that other platform fighting games haven't even come close to.
