Critic Reviews for Resident Evil Re:Verse
There are some good ideas in Resident Evil Re:Verse, but balance issues, a lack of content, and aggressive monetization make it little more than a sometimes-fun curiosity.
An ill-conceived attempt at bringing competitive deathmatch to Resident Evil, that has turned out to be just as terrible as everyone always assumed it would be.
Resident Evil Re:Verse is a baffling multiplayer experiment that fails to deliver compelling gameplay, general balance, and meaningful reasons to play more than a handful of matches. From a technical standpoint, this action-focused shooter presents occasional visual treats for fans, but it’s hard to imagine the shallow Re:Verse experience establishing and maintaining a dedicated player base.
Crossing the boundaries of the RPD or House Baker and fighting to the death - and then coming back to life in the shoes of a biological weapon and following the clash - is as fun as it seems, even net of characters more effective than others and the luck factor, which certainly characterizes what is an experience of lightness.

The saving grace is that Resident Evil Re:Verse is free so long as you own Resident Evil Village, but does that really count as a point in its favor when this is such a bland, uninteresting offering to begin with?
Re:Verse is a rare, but colossal misstep from Capcom that reverses momentum after a solid run of recent games.
Resident Evil Re:Verse is a disappointment that might one day be saved by the addition of many more characters, monsters, locations, or players. However, given its price and the expectations it raises, the game unfortunately offers nothing we haven’t seen before or encountered elsewhere. It’s also not free, which, given its quality, is literally money down the drain. It will entertain you for one afternoon at most—and only if you have someone to play with. The only positive is that, aside from the graphics, it will please die-hard fans of the series, who will be able to play as their favorite characters thanks to the game.
