The Crackpet Show is a fun game with unique ideas. It is a great choice if you want to take a break from serious games, whether you play solo or with friends. It has a charming comedy to it, and the world of the game matches the gameplay mechanics perfectly. While the game lacks enough charm to get you to play it for countless hours and the aesthetic design of levels could be better, it is still a good experience

Crackpet Show is a great game for anyone looking for a frantic, fast paced shoot-em up. It can get a little frustrating and repetitive, mostly when you're stuck on a specific episode, but it's original and great for short bursts of gameplay, especially on a portable system like the Switch.

If we look at The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition as a game dedicated to the famous characters that marked the era decades ago, it will certainly owe a lot because it takes little advantage of its qualities beyond the visuals. As a roguelike shooter that mixes comedy, cuteness and gratuitous violence, though, there's plenty of uncompromising fun here for fans of the genre.

The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition succeeds in being a more immersive rogue-lite than others in the genre. You are encouraged to be strategic, taking risks for greater rewards or playing it safe to survive. It's also easy to find weapons that work when you match them with the right perk, meaning there are no terrible options. However, longer episodes can make the randomisation aspect more punishing, and a lack of healing makes the game very difficult. It's a big time investment but there's a lot of fun to be had if you are willing to spend the hours.

While it has personality to spare, this lackluster “not-a-twin-stick” roguelike shooter fizzles
