Sword and Fairy Inn 2 Reviews
Sword and Fairy Inn 2 is a relaxing management game but one that didn’t make the transition from mouse and keyboard to console very well. Navigating menus with the controls here is annoying and while building up your inn is fun for a while, the repetition of tasks starts to set in later on.
Do you have what it takes to make the inn bloom?
Sword & Fairy Inn 2 is enjoyable. If you’re in the mood for a hyper-casual “simulator” and if you know the characters, so much the better. As someone who enjoys the Sword & Fairy main series a great deal, I don’t regret spending time with this, but at the same time, I do want better fan service spinoffs than this.
Sword and Fairy Inn 2 lets you come back for another round of managing four inn for the first few hours. After that, it gets quite repetitive and sometimes frustrating.

An interesting mix of story and management sim elements that just doesn’t come together in a satisfying way
I have similar sentiments when looking at Sword and Fairy Inn 2 as a whole – inoffensive yet uninspired and, unfortunately, boring. From the sloppy localization to the almost complete lack of direct player input that players have come to expect in things such as farming and cooking, it feels a little soulless. There is some satisfaction to be found in watching your tiny business grow into something more substantial, but the fact that you never really do anything to facilitate that growth beyond clicking through menus makes it all feel a touch impersonal. What’s more, is that the Switch is a console already drowning in quality cozy games that already let you live out the virtual life of your dreams, and on that basis alone, Sword and Fairy Inn 2 is a difficult product to recommend.
The silliness isn’t where it wants to be, thanks to wackiness having no substance. The graphics are moderate, and I find the Chibi models adorable, but that won’t negate how boring my session was. I’m disappointed by it. In its current state, I can’t, in good conscience, recommend you buy it.
