Limerick: Cadence Mansion Reviews
There is nothing wrong with Limerick: Cadence Mansion. No bugs to report, no glaring gameplay problems, no frame rate drops, nothing. The entire production does, however, flaw in experience, from the complicated graphics setup menu that made me desist from playing with the settings, to the banality of many puzzles, more appropriate to a Professor Layton series than a survival horror. Textures, 3D models, and lighting are close to amateurish, which should not necessarily be seen as a negative aspect, but unfortunately in this kind of games atmosphere is everything, so it would have deserved more polish.

Limerick: Cadence Mansion is a good game for spooky season because it has plenty of familiar mechanics while creating an interesting universe. It’s not horror by any means but there are some effective scary moments. The game creates constant tension between the drive to discover more and the need to run to a Panic room to avoid death and recover.
Limerick: Cadence Mansion offers solid, scary gameplay for fans of the action-horror genre and puzzlers. Full of rhythm and rhyme, you're in for a spooky time.
This game gets a recommendation from me, and that’s saying something considering it was Jenito’s first commercial work.
Limerick: Cadence Mansion is a solid action-horror adventure, featuring satisfying pacing, solid and scary gameplay, ad hoc inserted jumpscare, not particularly complex but varied puzzles, and really detailed environments. The result? Net of a vague and confusing narrative plot, an eerie and carefully crafted experience ready to welcome you.

I find the puzzles in tandem fun and tedious. For example, when entering Limerick Encounters, having the player do the three puzzles three times each (nine times total!) was annoying and boring after some time. I enjoy some of the stories found in notes to learn about the overarching story and find out the fates of some of their authors, but I feel that there are too many notes, sometimes too many close together. The controls were quick and easy to learn, and the environments were fun to navigate. The sprinting bar replenishes at a rate that you don’t easily outrun the monsters but doesn’t leave you at a disadvantage. Limerick: Cadence Mansion is a solid puzzle game and an engaging, smooth experience. I highly recommend this game for lore lovers and puzzle fanatics.
Limerick: Cadence Mansion lacks in horror what it also lacks in limerick-related puzzles, partnered with frustrating action, this is a game that was not ready for the market yet.
