Critic Reviews for Bzzzt
BZZZT might not be a game that breaks the platforming mould, but it's a hell of a good time with tight controls and varied stages.
Bzzzt is definitely everything I want in a retro-style platformer. It's fun with great controls and music to make you keep going even after 100 deaths. I cannot recommend this game enough.
BZZT exudes a retro-style setting. It focuses on continuous training. Levels at first are a form of warm-up to eventually test your skills and patience. You won't break your fingers, you won't tear your hair out of your head, but it will be fun. And after all, that's what it's all about, right?

Extremely challenging but imaginative levels with references to many classic games of history are great for hardcore players. However, newbies, casual and regular players will have much more trouble and less fun.

The amount of love and care that went into developing BZZZT really shows thanks to its awesome world and fine-tuned stage designs.
Bzzzt is an exceptional title, and this is underlined by its impeccably crafted audiovisual design, creativity, imagination, and replayability. The game is made with a love for the craft that is becoming increasingly lacking in most games. This game is a hallmark of excellence.

I never quite got over busting myself down to the very easy difficulty, though it actually made the game both fun and attainable while still being shockingly hard. BZZZT takes no prisoners and you shouldn’t expect mercy if you plan to spend any time with this game whatsoever. If you like to bleed, strap in. If you don’t, you might want to find another robot with whom to party.
Everything about Bzzzt makes it stand out from the crowd. It’s a very fun old-school platformer that manages to stand out even in a very crowded genre, and it’s definitely worth picking up.
