Thief Town Reviews
Thief Town undoubtedly has a lot of promise, but it hasn't reached its true potential yet. With additional modes, levels, and weapons it could very well be challenging games like Sportsfriends and Nidhogg as definitive hits to pull out during a party. In its current state, Thief Town is still a lot of fun, just a step down from the very best that the PlayStation 4 has to offer.
Thief Town is a great effort from Glass Knuckle Games, with fun, simple multiplayer that has more depth than you might think. If there was a little more to see and do, this would be much easier to recommend, but it will be a little too sparse for some. For others, though, this will be a great little title to put on when friends come over, and that feels like where Thief Town belongs.
There's nothing more satisfying than hearing the tell-tale victory cackle of a thief and being able to turn to your friend and tell them to suck it
The overall range of options and stages is definitely lacking, but the core gameplay is very enjoyable. Ideally, you'll have at least four in your group since fewer than that really takes away from what makes Thief Town fun. If you're looking to add an easy-to-play and satisfying multiplayer title to your game nights, don't skip town on this one.
Thief Town succeeds in providing a fun couch experience, but there's still tons of untapped potential. It could do with some additional modes, levels and items, but in its current state it ends up being just a simple party game with limited appeal
While I can try to remain objective and maintain a positive outlook to see the silver linings in everything indie there are games like this that just exhaust me...
