Mistfall Hunter is a great game that's buried under some questionable design choices. In its best moments, its combat keeps you on the edge of your seat. In its worst moments, you'll constantly be wondering why the devs did things the way they did.
For solo or 1v1 PvP fans, Mistfall Hunter has some real limitations, but for like-minded groups, the game rises above its copycat patchwork.
Mistfall Hunter is a fun but flawed ARPG extraction title that won’t be for everybody. The classes provide meaningful variety, but the game handles multiple archetypes more frustratingly than its contemporaries. If you enjoy ARPGs and extraction games, you’ll definitely get $25 worth of fun out of the game, but your mileage may vary due to repetition fatigue and a list of concerns about the game and its future.

While its technical issues and uneven class balance leave room for improvement, the game lays a strong foundation for a live-service adventure with plenty of long-term potential. The mist hasn't lifted just yet, but I can already see what's waiting on the other side.
