Mafia: The Old Country - Man of Honor might be more of the same, and that’s perfectly okay with me. Hangar 13’s nod to the original game is appreciated, as is the narrative flair The Old Country has already. Seeing Free Ride revamped is also a pleasure, alongside a meaty amount of content via Salieri’s introduction to the map.
Man of Honor doesn't reinvent The Old Country, but its compact story, stronger Free Ride content and connections to the wider series make it a worthwhile return.
The Man of Honor DLC expansion recognizes that Mafia stories aren't really about guns, cars or crime. They're about loyalty, ambition, betrayal and the price people are willing to pay to be part of something bigger than themselves.
2K is wrapping up content for Mafia: The Old Country with an expansion that, while shorter, is interesting for fans. It also adds an update that expands the range of activities.

Mafia: The Old Country - Man of Honor is a DLC that doesn’t aim to introduce new gameplay elements to the original game; rather, it’s more of the same, offering a narrative episode set during the main story, not after it ends. The new story, starring Enzo, lasts about two hours, and it’s precisely this short playtime that might deter many players, given the €9.99 price tag for the additional content. On the other hand, there are excellent new additions to the “Free Ride” mode, with missions that let you return to the Sicilian countryside and fully enjoy the scenery created by Hangar 13, scenery we loved so much in the base game released a year ago.

Man of Honor delivers a concise, well-written prequel story with strong character chemistry and satisfying Mafia fan service. Its limited campaign and frustrating stealth keep the expansion modest in scope, but expanded Free Ride activities and new weapons add welcome value for returning players.
Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor doesn’t breathe new life into the game, nor does it give those who maybe didn’t enjoy the initial experience a reason to return. But for everyone else, including fans of the base game and those interested in giving this a shot, I urge you to jump on board.
