This is a more traditional bullet hell game with just massive amounts of things coming at the player at once.

‘Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted’ is nothing new to the shoot ‘em up market; rather, it serves as a necessary revival—one of many—that keeps classic titles from the past accessible to a new generation of fans of the genre. However, for those who have already played these games and are looking for a reason to revisit them, there is nothing substantially new to add value—other than, of course, the ability to play them on modern platforms.

Two cult CAVE shoot ’em ups return to modern platforms with Muchi Muchi Pork! & PunkSweets Boosted, bringing together two colorful, challenging, and mechanically deep arcade experiences. This collection is a must-have for hardcore STG fans. Be warned though, its demanding difficulty makes it better suited to experienced players than newcomers to the genre.

Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted preserves two distinctive pleasures: switching weapons to cash in on Pork's rewards and holding fire to prepare Pink Sweets' defenses. It retains the Xbox 360 collection's revised and Arrange modes while deliberately bringing arcade slowdown closer to the original boards. Rank information, training, and online leaderboards support deeper play, with fresh music arrangements adding another welcome touch. Harsh original difficulty, visual clutter, and replays without rewind remain drawbacks, and returning players won't find a wealth of new content. Still, the arcade adjustments make this more than a straightforward reissue, and its unusual scoring and defensive systems remain well worth exploring.
