Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Reviews
"Resident Evil 7 didn't just take the series back to form, it perfected it. Sure there will be satisfying combat but not before running around for your life filled with dread. The story and plot twists were entertaining as they were interesting and all the scares that came along with it. The voice actors did a phenomenal job and so did the level designers. There was never a time where I felt safe and ready to take on the next challenge. Old schools fans of the franchise will love this outing and is a perfect opportunity for new fans to hop on board. Just don't burn the midnight oil alone."
The presentation of this is superb. The screenshots do not do this justice and as for the sound.. Listen to this through a home cinema system and it's going to be atmospheric. For the true experience play it through head phones and don't blame me if the slightest knock, scratch etc. has you jumping like a jack rabbit. This is one slickly executed game. Visually impressive yet visceral, atmospheric and genuinely scary. This is the Resident Evil we have been waiting for for such a long time.
Resident Evil 7 was an absolutely incredible and terrifying experience especially for a horror fan like myself, and a horror survival game I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. And honestly, I think the last time I was this terrified of a game was Silent Hill 2 or the original Resident Evil game. The Resident Evil franchise has finally returned to its true survival/psychological roots, Resident Evil 7 perfectly captures what it would feel like to be put into the same situation as Ethan. And just like Resident Evil 4 reinvented the franchise, Resident Evil 7 has done the some once again. And all I can say at this point in my review is welcome back Resident Evil, you have been missed!
Stunning game, art and sound design, will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout Resident Evil VII’s eight to ten hours of play time, and thanks to slick controls, and a constantly moving and developing story, you’ll want to see this one out to the very end.
With Resident Evil 7, Capcom finally dares to take a risk-paying venture, dusting at the same time the old elements of the series, giving us a true survival horror experience in a first person view. I rarely experienced the first hours of a game in such a tensed way, surrounded by morbid scenes, with a steady dose of riddles, and a sense of rhythm that constantly put you under pressure. Capcom succeeded in marrying the old with the new when it comes to mechanics but it is not free from any reproach. The fighting elements are too simplistic, and the plot runs out of breath in the end, trying almost too hard, but it is still an interesting experience, and probably one of the best VR games there is on the PlayStation 4 console.
Overall, Resident Evil 7 delivers a fantastic horror experience akin to previous games in the series. The experience is very quick due to the campaign being designed for speed runners in mind, and unfortunately there is not much to look forward to after besides madhouse mode, which remixes the game to be more difficult, and the content that the season pass is offering at a later date. The PS4 Pro is the way to go for the absolute best PlayStation experience. Longtime fans, and new fans will enjoy what it has to offer along with man Easter Eggs that connect the story to previous games.
There’s no arguing that Resident Evil 7 is a great horror game but some of the character choices left us scratching our heads.
Not even nostalgia could hold together the remains of what was once a great franchise!
Resident Evil 7 is looking to take you back, to a better time in gaming. One where simple game design mixed with a good story and evolving mechanics over the course of the game. It does most of these things pretty well. Overall Resident Evil 7 (RE7) is a great game. It's really an interesting time, making you rethink situations and what you can do in the game world, while keeping the ending from getting stale and repetitive.
Resident Evil 7 is an entry in the franchise that will keep you in the edge of your seat, achieving this through its atmosphere and tension. The camera's first person view is highly effective, you always feel closed in and claustrophobic, it makes you feel that sensation to turn back "just in case"!

Despite its impotent story, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a wonderful return to form that old-school and new-school fans of RE alike of RE should not miss.
Resident Evil 7 is a damn fine and hellacious horror experience and will go down as one of the greatest horror experiences in recent times.
Resident Evil 7 feels like a breath of fresh air for a stagnant series. Its perspective change makes all more engrossing and emphasizes what makes Resident Evil relevant even after 20 years.

The plot is an interesting and very much a Resident Evil story but the biggest difference between this Resident Evil and previous versions is the first person perspective.
Resident Evil 7 is a good game. It’s not a masterpiece but it’s better than Resident Evil 6.

Resident Evil 7 doesn't reinvent the Wheel but delivers enough gameplay Features and Horror-Elements to get Oldschool Fans back to the series. It's also probably the best PlayStation VR Game so far.
