Critic Reviews for Bear With Me: Episode 1
The first episode of Bear With Me still hints at a greater game to come, nicely setting a proper noir tone with some occasional creepy bits and a gleeful dose of snark throughout.
Bear With Me is a charming, imaginatively realized point-and-click noir adventure with a good balance of zany humour and chin-stroking intrigue. Those with a hankering for the good old days of the genre will find a lot to love here.
Bear With Me - Episode One is the brief prelude to a new series of noir episodic adventure. It seems definitely to have a few tricks up its sleeve, at least in narrative terms.

Bear With Me is an entertaining, witty point-and-click investigation game with a Noir twist. Its strong characters, unique style, and snappy dialogue will resonate with fans of the genre. The game is held back by slow load times and a surprisingly short story, but provides a great little adventure and a solid overall experience.
Good for an adventure gaming fix… and if you like a touch of horror thrown in… well you’d be hard pressed to find a better blending of the two.
Bear With Me Episode One is a point and click detective story that has the potential to be one of the best games of the year.
Bear With Me: Episode 1 is a very intriguing concept wrapped up in a wonderfully dark world, with great narrative throughout and loveable characters. This first episode sets the stage for an adventure that is sure to get better as times goes by, but currently one that is held back by the bear's slightly off voice acting, and a few puzzles that are not solved in the most logical of ways, instead forcing certain triggers to occur before progress is made - a trap many games of this ilk fall into, sadly. So far this is enjoyable, but it has unfulfilled potential for the time being that hopefully forthcoming episodes will fulfil.
Almost everything on display in Bear With Me is a wonderful undertaking of the genre, and one I hope gets followed up with a second episode at the very least on par with what the first gave us. Should that happen, I can’t imagine players won’t be happy.
