Bears Can't Drift!? Reviews
It’s a good first effort from the tiny three-person team based in Southampton, and you can clearly see a lot of love and effort has gone into the game. If you have some spare cash and some young children to entertain then you could do a lot worse. It’s a game with bears in it, it shows a poo when you are in last place, and I’m in a good mood, so Strangely Named Studio’s first game gets an encouraging…
Bears Can't Drift!? is not a bad game. It is actually quite interesting, mostly due to how bizarre the design choices are, which give it a weird mystery box quality to it. It engages curiosity and invites to keep on playing and see how deep the bear hole goes. While the hole is shallow, it is a compelling hole that looks cute and has up to four-player split-screen. Bears Can't Drift!?'s core game is just really boring at the end of the day, and as it turns out, nobody cares if bears can drift.
Bears Can't Drift is a cute game that would have been very enjoyable if it had more straightforward tracks and far less bugs.
So is Bear Can’t Drift?! worth your hard-earned dollars? No, because it overall feels like a glorified demo. The core idea is there (I mean kart games are fun, so bring on a new one!), but unfortunately, the package falls flat. This is far from being a Mario kart level of game as Bear Can’t Drift?! is clumsy with questionable controls and full of frustrating menu UI design. The game has very limited, albeit unique, power-ups and options. There are other, better kart alternatives on Xbox One, don’t fall for this.
Bears Can’t Drift!? is a Mario Kart style racer involving bears and is primarily from a one man team. I still think the original SNES Mario Kart has yet to be beaten for sheer playability.

Bears Can’t Drift!? doesn’t have many things in its favor, but it’s not the worst racing game I’ve played this generation. At the very least, it does feature good controls. I don’t exactly see why you would decide to buy it for your Xbox One besides looking for a kid-friendly kart racer not named Race With Ryan. Those bears sure know how to drift, but they’re not really good at anything else besides that.
