Expeditions: Viking Reviews
Behind some rage-inducing problems Expeditions: Viking is incredibly good. It enhances everything established in Conquistador and brings the setting to real life. Whether players will want to struggle through a sea of crashes and mistimed saves to experience it all is another factor altogether.
Expeditions: Viking is a well-crafted turn-based RPG that relies on a story-rich game world. The main story is complemented by a wide variety of well-designed side quests that can often leave you scratching your head. You’ll never be sure whether your choice was the right one or if it will have fatal consequences down the line. Your friends can become enemies, and an enemy can eventually become an ally. Unfortunately, the game is starting to show its age, so don’t expect it to meet today’s standards. Nevertheless, it’s a very well-made and challenging RPG that, if you give it a chance, will reward you with hours of entertainment.

Expeditions: Viking brings together two of my favorite things - RPGs and strategy. The packages has a few flaws here and there, but it is easy to overlook them when the overall game is so much fun to play. It seems Vikings have been a more popular topic over the last few years, from television shows to movies and even video games. There is a little bit of Banner Saga vibe here as you are tasked with leading your clan after your father passes away and you are forced into a situation your character may not be fully prepared for.
Expeditions: Viking builds upon the amazing combat and variety of Expeditions: Conquistador, adds more depth, much more interesting decisions to make and it shows how much Logic Artists improved itself as a developer.

Man the oars and burn the churches! An excellent Viking adventure that is kept from perfection by a few niggling issues in story and a sometimes punitive combat system. Very much worth a look for all fans of Vikings, tactical combat or turn-based RPGs.
Fun trip to the 8th century from the Danish invaders' point of view. Expeditions: Viking's combination tactical combat with clan building and exploration is brought down by its technical issues, though.

Expedition: Vikings is a great game for fans of Viking lore. It tells an engaging, well-written story while doing its best to remain faithful to Viking lore. It has some rough edges, but overall it’s a great tactical RPG.
At the end of May in 2013, the company Logic Artists released Expeditions: Conquistador. The title was a well-received tactical RPG with a fantastic take on simulating a journey to the new world. It was with great anticipation that a sequel arrived on our shores here in 2017. Not a direct sequel mind you… This adventure would focus on another group of explorers: The Vikings.
