With its interface and features redesigned, Just Dance 2018 brings a breath of fresh air to Ubisoft's dancing game, more modern, lean and accessible. The Kids Mode, a section specially designed to children, is a very welcome addition to the game. Even though this edition does not bring any incredible new feature, the small modifications, along with a set list very up to date and a generous three-month subscription to Just Dance Unlimited, justify the purchase.

Besides the lack of a proper tutorial, there is a lot to love if you enjoy dancing. Just use a camera instead of the smartphone if you want to not cheat your way through.

Just Dance 2018 is an unremarkable addition to a tired series with little to entice returning players back into the fold. It's a shame such a large portion of the game is hidden behind a pay wall, but newcomers will nevertheless find plenty here to be getting on with for a while, particularly if you play in a party environment with friends and family.

The renewal we expected was done, eliminating the major problems and defects of the predecessor. The interface has been modified, simplified and made accessible by everyone. The catalog songs isn't wide but of great quality, containing also some of the most popular songs of the moment.

Just Dance 2018 does the job it intends to do on its annual basis. The minor additions don't really warrant a full purchase as the Just Dance Unlimited feature is starting to make the rest of the content feel a little redundant. However, it's a great little party burner and the kids seem to love it.

The Just Dance series had its shine all this time, but to continue doing so it must reinvent itself if it wants to evolve again, even if that means structural changes that surely will bring controversy and risks.

Like every year, Just Dance 2018 is inspired by its predecessors, while adding extra modes to make the Nintendo Switch stand out in comparison to other platforms. While the Switch version puts the fun at first at the expense of precision and requirement, it's a great title to bring along for a game night, especially since you can play with up to 6 person at the same thanks to the mobile app.

We give Just Dance 2018 a rating of „8.1“, just like last year, since barely anything changed. The only visible change is the Kids option, which is nice, but if I really want to keep a child busy, I might as well use the adult version for that since every single word that is even a tiny bit offensive has been cencored out anyway.
