Shift Quantum Reviews
Shift Quantum is an impressive and fresh experience among the strange coincidental influx of dual colour/polarity themed games assaulting Switch at this moment. Often crossing the line between art and entertainment, it is impossible not to be impressed by how it interactively tells you a dystopian story using nothing more than its minimalist aesthetics. While we are still not sure we found happiness at the end of our journey, we were certainly blissfully making our journey there. If that doesn't make Shift Quantum a very successful mind prison, we don't know what will.
If you love puzzles, you should definitely give this title a spin.
Shift Quantum is a puzzle game that draws its quality from a simple, yet addictive game design. Thanks to its polarity structure and to its well-designed levels and balanced difficulty, Shift Quantum is a fine element in the Nintendo Switch catalogue, even if it could certainly benefit from a longer lifespan and perhaps an additional layer of complexity.

Shift Quantum adds a new dimension to the action puzzle-platformer, with an element of mystery that makes it incredibly atmospheric.
Shift Quantum is a clever puzzle game that is very fun on PlayStation 4. The level design is great, and the core gameplay mechanic is very interesting and helps to keep you thinking outside of the box. Add the community created levels and how more and more stages are added every day, and you have a game that is definitely worth your time and money.
Although there may be plenty of options in this genre, Shift Quantum stands out with its polished look, unique concept, and a soundtrack though unremarkable, never wears out its welcome.
Shift Quantum is a fun puzzle platformer with a minimalist black and white look that works since it allows you to focus on the puzzles without being distracted by any unnecessary “oomph.” Other than a few instances in which the framerate dipped when playing in Portable or Tabletop mode, the game runs great and is easy to understand and enjoy.
Shift Quantum is one of the best practical puzzle games that I've ever played.
Shift Quantum was a very pleasant surprise of a quality puzzle game, and it delivered quite a bit more than its modest presentation would imply. More than just a collection of pretty rote puzzles, which is something that happens a bit too often in this genre, Shift Quantum has some great ideas and it makes the most of exploring the challenges that can be concocted around them. If you’re a puzzle fan who has been looking for something that veers off the normal path a bit and throws in some intrigue to boot it’s a quality choice.
Shift Quantum might not feature the most original aesthetic and feels only half committed to its narrative elements but those are only small drawbacks to an otherwise brilliant game. This is a puzzle game that's full of moments that'll make you feel like a genius, will make you say "Of course! Why didn't I see it before" and manages to curb the difficulty throughout just before it becomes frustrating. If you like a good headscratcher, I highly recommend Shift Quantum.
Shift Quantum makes clever use of its Shifting mechanic, truly testing your ability to analyse and break down each puzzle within its dark, dystopian world. Some may find the difficulty a little off-putting but for those hungry for the challenge, a one hundred-plus puzzle campaign and user-created content should more than satisfy those needs.
