A well-made stealth game that becomes tedious before too long.

This accessible heist game demands confidence from you, but ultimately short-circuit that aim due to inconsistent AI and dull level design.

The Marvellous Miss Take has a good deal going for it – fast-paced stealth gameplay, eminently charming visuals and a fantastic pun for a title. There's a decent variety to the level design and new game elements are introduced at a good clip to keep things fresh.

The Marvellous Miss Take may, considering its refreshingly light color palette and cutesy moniker, be mistaken as an all too easy stealth experience, but looks are definitely deceiving. Sophia and her partners are beguiling, artful dodgers, and along with stealing a ton of masterpieces, they will also capture a healthy chunk of your time.

That being said, The Marvelous Miss Take is so good because it's a rare thing in games - it's a unique twist on an established formula. You're forced to think far more cleverly if you want to see success in this game than most stealth games, and it's the better for it.

The Marvellous Miss Take on PC turns out to be a game that is a lot better than might first be expected. With its varied characters and a great level design that does a good job of supporting the random element of the guards' movement, and use of three widely different characters, it shines brightly, and is a refreshing release in the genre. Well worth a go for fans of stealth games.

It's not a perfect game, with possibly buggy AI and a steep learning curve, but it is definitely fun and has the one-more-go feel to it.

In the end, The Marvellous Miss Take is a stealth game for genre fans who want to experience something outside of their normal expectations. The distilling of stealth is novel, and turning a chunk of the missions into speed runs adds some excitement to the genre. The non-predictable AI pathing for the guards keeps you on your toes, and the optional goals and the secondary cast make the game deeper than expected. Some work could've been done to make the controls tighter, but those who aren't easily frustrated by such things will find The Marvellous Miss Take to be a nice change of pace for the genre.
