To note, I played through gradual levels of difficulty, and none of which had an effect on how well you shoot. The difficulty level only determines how good the opposing team plays. Despite these, playing matches and especially playing with your friends at home are still loads of fun. Games like these make amazing party games and are best played during free moments wherein you’re just looking to relax.

Whilst FIFA 19 hasn’t re-invented the wheel with FIFA 19 it has done enough to improve what it already a stellar Football experience. Career and Pro modes may not have received an overhaul but where it counts, FIFA 19 nails it. It may feel like iterative changes have been made but they are quite bold for the franchise and FIFA 19 is all the better for it. There can be no argument, FIFA remains firmly atop the Football genre.

Without a doubt FIFA 19 is the best soccer simulator, but it's not the most complete sport game out there. FIFA 19 has many problems that were seen in the previous versions of the game and unfortunately the changes that have been applied in it are very minor and don't resolve these problems. But still the games is promising and if you are a fan of this sport franchise you can still enjoy it very much. However if EA Sports really wants to stay ahead of Konami, it has to apply greater alternations in this franchise and also optimize its gameplay better.

Contrary to what you would think of EA, they listened to criticism and delivered a smoother and better experience than FIFA 18. It is just a shame there is no Journey mode in this version.

While there are improvements in the handheld gameplay, FIFA 19 never really fixes the problems that occurred in FIFA 18.

For the first time in a good few years I’ve really enjoyed jumping into the game and learning to play using the new additions, lump in all the presentation changes, the UEFA licences and FIFA 19 is walking away with it for me this year.

The formula behind FIFA’s popularity has always been a balance between accessibility and authenticity of the beautiful game. This time around, FIFA 19 offers some slight gameplay improvements proving that refining a winning formula is the way forward.

While still fun, FIFA 19 feels like a familiar stopgap until EA Sports figure out how to start innovating with its flagship once again.

Last year, FIFA 18 was given a free pass in certain aspects as it was the first FIFA game on a Nintendo console for years and the core gameplay was as good as I wanted it to be. This year, I am not letting FIFA 19 off as easily. Don’t get me wrong, I still have endless amounts of fun playing matches online and my most wanted feature, being able to play online against friends, has been added.

FIFA 19 is a title that in general, net of some imperfections, really gives us great moments and excellent game actions. The fidelity with which the best known players are played is truly remarkable, and the care of animations is also good and improved. Excellent behavior of the players in relation to their physical characteristics that guarantee a game much closer to reality, albeit always arcade. Pecca instead the physics of the ball that is once again treated with a lot of lightness. Often in fact the ball follows trajectories quite unrealistic and not very credible parables, in addition to the fact that, players like Cristiano Ronaldo, sometimes manage to score from positions not really appropriate to that type of actions. For the rest, however, FIFA remains a fun and enjoyable game, which improves on the gameplay, in actions such as control of the ball and contrasts, as well as in shooting actions. In short, a football perhaps more spectacular than realistic but like and satisfies!

The beautiful game is brought to life in the virtual world yet again with this well presented and visually appealing football game. FIFA 19 is taking a step in the right direction after some time as the technically inferior football game as compared to its only rival. The Journey draws to a somewhat satisfying close, but Goalkeepers are still a blundering phenomenon. However, the gameplay improvements on the rest of the pitch, new editions, and the Champions League are much welcomed and long awaited.

FIFA 19's headline new feature, the Champions League, adds to an already slick and fine tuned package, but it's the subtle gameplay tweaks that have made EA's latest such a big success. On the pitch FIFA offers more control than ever before, finally making for a game that isn't just about showing off to mates.

FIFA 19 takes the throne this year with ease thanks to a bad performance from PES but still manages to tweak the gameplay and graphics of the game to just the right level. Also the new house rules, the journey champions and champions league are enough reasons to love the offline parts of this years FIFA.

Without a doubt an improvement over FIFA 18 with new tricks and the Champions League license, FIFA 19 still needs to up its game to have complete mastery over its rival.

FIFA 19 is EA's most realistic football game yet. It offers a great variety of various gameplay modes, but it still has some quirks that could stand to be changed. Despite that, it's a great title that will keep its owners entertained for tens or even hundreds of hours.

It’s still running on a custom engine which means that whilst it lacks some of the features of other FIFA 19 variants, improvements over last year’s edition on the Switch are very welcome and noticeable, offering a great experience. Arguably the BEST handheld football title yet. If you don’t own FIFA 18 and want a football game, then this is for you.
