Himno is like listening to those free relaxation apps you can download to find your Zen. It never wants to be something it isn't. Its music, gameplay, and game mechanics all fit within the realm of serenity and relaxation, especially on the Switch. Sometimes it's good to just take a moment for yourself and let your mind be at peace.

Himno is a relaxing 2D platformer where death only comes from falling. The levels are dark and ruin-like, yet emit tranquility and beauty as well. It's best played in short bursts, but if you just want to turn off your brain and relax, here's your chance.

A good combination of beautiful, challenging and relaxing, Himno isn't the most gripping game you'll ever play, but it is well worth a go.

Though Himno prides itself on its relaxed atmosphere, its lack of direction paired with its procedurally generated worlds fail to leave a lasting impression. As a result, it is only worth it for the most diehard of platforming fans.

Falling into the category of "Uhm, I'm not quite sure what's going on here" we have Himno, a title that seems to be trying to go for a randomly-generated platformer vibe, but that ends up just being kind of flat and uninteresting in the process...

So although I didn’t know anything about this game prior to its release, I’ve cleaned up 1000 gamer score and still don’t know very much about the game either, I honestly can’t really recommend this to anyone other than the most hardcore of Gamer Score hunters who want to mop up the points.
