Conan Unconquered Reviews
A scrappy and bloody brilliant strategy game that builds further upon the idea of survival strategy, Conan Unconquered doesn't stray too far from its primary influence but it does offer plenty of unique substance that gives it its very own flavour. Now that, is what is best in life.
Conan Unconquered isn't the most polish RTS this year, but it is filled with unique ideas, challenging enemies and fun emergent moments.
Losing to a devastating horde in Conan Unconquered makes victory later on that much sweeter. But it's difficult to know if this kind of challenge-based real-time strategy game can maintain a long-term appeal.
Overall… it's fun, but does get frustrating on the later levels… the fact you can't save your game to try a configuration and then reload if it didn't quite work simply adds to that frustration. At the current price tag I think it might be a little much… but there is a bit of value in the unlockable comic pages and the ability to play through as a couple of other characters is nice. Perhaps wait for a sale unless you happen to really like tower defense style gaming.
A tower defense game combines with classic RTS feelings. Conan Unconquered does not look so attractive nowadays, it needs more enlighten idea to impress gamers.

And as for Conan Unconquered? It’s passable. A pastiche. A painting of a game that lacks all the vim and vigour in the brushstrokes that may have offered some semblance of excitement or, heaven forbid, enough enthusiasm to bring Conan himself back to life.
With interesting mechanics and ruthless enemies, Unconquered will be a great experience for strategy game fiends and Conan fans alike.
