80 Days Reviews
It's not going to be to everyone's tastes, but if you're a fan of Jules Verne, travelling, or culture, then you really need to check this out.
Instead of "just one more chapter" 80 DAYS will have you saying "just one more playthrough". It might also have you wanting to revisit Jules Verne's novel. It comes recommended to booklovers and those desiring to a digital taste of the valet lifestyle.
I found myself lost in this wonderfully vibrant world. You'd do well to add this to your 'on the go' library.
Jean and Phileas' trek is broad, but their stories are wonderfully personal in contrast which isn't always translated to video games that well. This retelling of a classic novel conveys the spirit of the book while adding the perfect amount of interactivity to make the story of your own. Though I've completed one round trip, I'll be taking a second spin to see how charting a different path changes my next story.
Though the act of traversing the world is no longer such a grand feat in the time of Jules Verne, when he wrote Around the World in 80 Days, it was by no means a simple feat...
If you haven’t been playing much interactive fiction, just remind yourself to switch mental gears and put on your metaphorical reading glasses. After I made that switch and carved out time to enjoy 80 Days slowly, I really enjoyed the little stories that make up Passepartout’s grand adventure. After six playthroughs, spending about two hours per playthrough, there are still many cities I’ve been thwarted from reaching and mysteries to fully uncover. Perhaps I’ll revisit old cities just to take in the scenery if I had rushed through them earlier. I’ve almost died, but I’ve yet to actually die. Who knows, perhaps I’ll stumble upon a plotline that lets me!
