Until then, Expedition will satisfy those who've spent the past two months regenning, arc mining and "standing by", and is further proof (if any were needed) that Respawn is rather good at this whole first-person shooter thing.

Two great maps and a poor one make Expedition an over-expensive proposition. Respawn also squander a great chance to extend Titanfall's fiction.

Considering the one complaint about Titanfall was the lack of content this new DLC makes no effort to fill the gaps in the original package, although at least two of the maps are very good.

Titanfall: Expedition adds three maps that enhance the Titanfall experience, but adds nothing for those who are already tired of the game. If you just want more Titan vs. Pilot action then this is perfect for you, but all others should keep an eye out for the free updates coming from Respawn.

This is a great start to the Season Pass of DLC and Titanfall fans would be silly not to add these maps into the game.  Although some modes play better in certain maps, the gameplay modes that are available to date do mix well in all three.  Now if Respawn could hurry up and give me even more gameplay modes dammit.

With all the money and development time thrown at this game, is this really all they could come up with for their DLC – three maps and no new modes? Even with a cheaper price point, it's hard to recommend this pack.

Consisting of two very well designed maps and one recycled and repurposed yet still very enjoyable map, Expedition will certainly bring the faithful back to the table for more. Unfortunately, Titanfall still feels a little thin, mostly because a lack of maps was never really its problem. Respawn would do well to examine other FPS expansion packs to see that gamers will likely expect more from paid content than a handful of new maps with no additional features.

'Expedition,' with just three maps and nothing else for the game, is fulfilling only for those with bare expectations. However, two of the three maps are now among the best the game has to offer, which means that 'Titanfall' as whole is indeed improved. Between finding routes amongst the crowded forest of 'Swampland' and navigating the complex maze of 'War Games,' the already excellent gameplay takes turns exploring new, fun, and interesting directions, which is the best you can ask from new maps.

Expedition's two outstanding maps and decent-yet-ugly third wheel are easy to recommend to regular Titanfall players. However, it's clear that Respawn will need to deliver new gametypes, features and extra raw value soon.
