Just a few weeks after launch, Battlefield 6 is already one of the biggest games of the year. Despite a few controversial updates that had to be rolled back, the military shooter has already broken sales records for the franchise. This is due to being a joint effort of studios collectively known as Battlefield Studios.
However, according to the former creative director at Ridgeline Games, Maracus Lehto's LinkedIn post, neither he nor other key developers were included in the game's credits. In his post, he expressed his disappointment in EA and included his own credits page to recognize their efforts properly.
Ridgeline Games had worked on the Battlefield franchise since 2022, and was set to craft the latest entry's divisive single-player campaign. The studio was closed in 2024, with a portion of the team being transferred to another EA-owned studio, Ripple Effect, to continue work on the title.
Lehto, an industry veteran who previously co-created Halo, was not among those relocated to the new team, but noticed that almost none of his former Ridgeline teammates were included in Battlefield 6's credits despite spending years on the project.
