Honkai: Star Rail 4.0 has been officially delayed by developer HoYoverse, according to an announcement made by the company, though that is not the exact wording that was chosen for the postponement. The turn-based RPG is near the end of Version 3.7, which added the final quests in the Amphoreus story arc. Soon, players will gain access to the contents of Honkai: Star Rail 3.8, which have now been detailed.

During the Version 3.8 livestream on the Honkai: Star Rail channel on YouTube, which presented all of the new content for the upcoming patch, HoYoverse made a special announcement, revealing that the next update will last eight weeks. This is longer than usual, as patches tend to last precisely six weeks before another update is issued by the developer. In fact, there will even be a third banner phase in Version 3.8 because of its duration, featuring Aglaea and Sunday rerun banners.
