With the rumors that we might actually be getting a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time sometime soon, fans have already been discussing potential changes that could elevate the experience to even greater heights. While visual identity is one of the most common topics, some fans recently brought up a great point when it comes to changing one of the most iconic aspects of the original experience with Hyrule Field.

Reddit user EAT_UR_VEGGIES poses the question of whether Nintendo should try to replicate the first-time feeling that "this is huge" upon entering OOT​​​​​​'s Hyrule Field, or keep the same scale to provide a more accurate portrayal of the original experience. Acting as a grand hub between each of the major locations in the game, Hyrule Field is central to the design of the game as a whole.

While it might seem like an obvious choice to simply pump up Ocarina of Time's scale to impress modern audiences, some Zelda fans like BrgQun feel that Hyrule Field is "already the perfect size for feeling big without taking forever to cross", while also providing "just enough incentive to get Epona" for the first time.
