Fan-Made Morrowind Remake Is Nearing Completion After 14 Years, With Plans To Remake DLC Post-Launch

In 2012, the community-led TES Renewal Project announced Skywind, a complete remake of Morrowind within The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, giving the '00s classic three generations worth of paint. Granted, things have been quiet on the Vvardenfell front since Skyblivion took center stage, but the team just shared a brand-new update.

Skywind was initially set to be a 1:1 port of Morrowind's assets, like Morroblivion.

As reported by GamesRadar+, the TES Renewal Project announced in a new video diary that 2D, 3D, visual effects, writing, and voice acting are roughly 80–99 percent complete, while sound design and voice mastering lag behind at 65 and 12 percent, respectively. These numbers are only an estimation, and should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's a promising update nonetheless. Vvardenfell, on the whole, is nearly complete, with 10 of the 13 exterior regions sitting between 90–100 percent completion, while Red Mountain hovers at around 40 percent.
