007 First Light Reportedly Cost $200 Million And Took 7 Years To Develop

The Danish Broadcasting Corporation has reported that 007 First Light cost IO Interactive $200 million (or 1.3 billion kroner) and took seven whole years to develop.

Anyone who has been looking forward to 007 First Light is likely well aware of how long we've all spent waiting for it. Developer IO Interactive surprised us all back in late 2020 when it teased the game as Project 007, which is all we'd really know about it until last year when it was properly revealed as First Light during a State of Play.

That long five-year gap between the first tease and the official unveiling already makes it clear that IO Interactive spent a ton of time on introducing a brand new era of James Bond games. Now that the game has launched, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation has reported just how long the game took to develop and how much it ended up costing.
