Final Fantasy Composer Joins The Chorus In Wanting Another Ivalice Story

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles appears to have been a success for Square Enix. Last year's remaster sold one million units in its first three months, which eclipsed developer estimates of 800,000 within that timespan. Although it's impossible to say how well the game has done since then, that was news enough to celebrate at the time, and it fueled fan hopes for more from Ivalice.

Consider Hitoshi Sakimoto ready and willing to compose further Ivalician music, should the opportunity arise. In a recent interview, the man whose iconic tunes have given Square's most prolific Final Fantasy setting its unique mood expressed his own hope for more.

Answering a question from the excellent RPG Site's Mikhail Madnani, Sakimoto expressed joy over the prospect for a return trip. He also described Ivalice rather nicely while he was at it:

"The world of Ivalice, created by Mr Matsuno, is grand and sometimes harsh, but also full of warmth and human emotion. It’s a very unique setting. Personally, I would love to see a new story set in Ivalice."
