2026 is supposed to be Tomb Raider's big 30th anniversary celebration, but rather than everyone getting excited about the festivities, some clouds have started to appear on the horizon. The first of these is a delay for the upcoming game Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, which is now set to miss the anniversary in favor of a February 2027 release.
Delays aren't the worst thing in the world, and if that was all, fans would likely take things in stride. Another new piece of information about Tomb Raider's upcoming remake, however, has a portion of the fanbase significantly more upset.
As reported by Eurogamer, the Steam page for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis features an AI disclaimer. In full, the disclaimer reads as follows:
AI-assisted tools were used during development to support some early exploration and temporary development content. Any AI-assisted assets were either replaced or refined by humans in order to maintain the creative and artistic vision of the development team.
