Early physical copies of Halo: Campaign Evolved have revealed that the game requires a sign-in and a mandatory update to access, suggesting it’s useless offline.
Over the past few console generations, one of the most annoying downsides to most triple-A releases is how many games require an internet connection or updates to even play. Pretty much every game nowadays has a hefty day-one update waiting for you as soon as you start, and that’s even if you have the physical release.

I say lucky, but that might not be the right word, as they discovered that the game has multiple annoying requirements when you start it up.
