5 / 5.0 - Oblitus
Mar 1, 2015

Oblitus puts a whole lot of content into a small, tightly-made package. The overall aesthetic and backing music are great, and the constant threat of death taking all of your accomplishments away drives play very well.

There is so much that Majora's Mask has to offer, and almost all of it outshines any of the game's shortcomings.

Resident Evil Revelations 2's first episode is a strong start to the game and the only fault I can find with this method of release is that the next episode can't come out soon enough. Penal Colony provided just the right amount of backstory and twists to leave the player wanting to find out what's next in the story.

Stardust Vanguards is, at its core, a well-made game for players that have plenty of local players to jump in on the fun. With a $9.

2 / 5.0 - The Order: 1886
Feb 19, 2015

The Order: 1886 isn't a terrible game by any stretch of the imagination; it's just a massive disappointment that failed to break new ground. It's a shame because you can tell that a great deal of effort went into building this alternate version of 19th century London, and boy is it gorgeous.

3 / 5.0 - Hand of Fate
Feb 17, 2015

Hand of Fate has been made to appeal to many players quickly, and that it does. The only concern that sticks between your teeth is one that this desire to make people feel like their being forced to work hard without actually pulling any work out of them will hamper Hand of Fate's scale for replayability.

4 / 5.0 - Evolve

That is of course, if the community remains active. Reviewing games that focus themselves so centrally on a mutliplayer environment is difficult.

4 / 5.0 - Gravity Ghost
Feb 9, 2015

As a whole, Gravity Ghost puts together a wonderful fantasy experience, with enough interesting elements and over 100 levels to play through. While it's still relatively short — experienced gamers could likely speed through in one or two hours — there's still enough to recommend.

Altogether, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds offers a great mix of insane action and intriguing story, though the combat is definitely the meat of the game. Slick, responsive controls and a variety of characters and abilities keep the game fresh.

Even with its lack of that graphical "wow" factor, Grim Fandango Remastered is able to become a classic yet again, this time for a whole new generation of gamers. Whether you're a returning fan, or someone new to the adventure genre, Grim Fandango is a must-play experience.

In one of the developer diaries released by Dontnod leading up to the release of Life is Strange, JMAX, co-founder of Dontnod, says, "I believe video games are the future of storytelling and I think this is just a pre-history of video games… We are just pioneers. This industry is just learning to walk on its feet…" If Life is Strange is any indication of the direction the storytelling of video games is heading, the evolution is one that should be highly admired.

4 / 5.0 - Dying Light
Jan 27, 2015

On the surface Dying Light may be nothing more than your average run-of-the-mill zombie game complete with predictable story and tons of flesh eating monstrosities. But, beneath the very pretty surface lies a game with some excellent ideas that, when combined with some tried and true mechanics, create one of the best zombie games in recent years

With all its technical upgrades and incredible attention to every little bloody detail, the mansion looks magnificent and the game fulfills its purpose in reminding fans why we fell in love with this series in the first place. Sure, I do miss the campy live-action intro (who could forget the suave, Val Kilmer look-alike Albert Wesker slicking back his hair?) from the original PS1 version.

Even with the occasional hiccups Saints Row: Gat out of Hell manages to be a completely worthwhile experience. The first new city since Saints Row: The Third, great characters, hilarious writing, awesome weapons, and a much more refined focus on gameplay all lend to the overall sense of fun that permeates every aspect of the game.

5 / 5.0 - Blackguards 2
Jan 15, 2015

Blackguard 2 manages to exist as a game that feels like a classic strategy role playing game, and as so much more at the same time. A deep story with great characters, varied quests, deep customization, and great battles make for a must have game.

2 / 5.0 - Funk of Titans

Funk of Titans is a game full of missed opportunities and it's really a shame. The game has a solid premise that would be good for some great laughs and varied gameplay, it just never seems to deliver.
