A huge step in the right direction, and more groundbreaking and notable than the last game; SGWC2 legitimately elevates its self from its pedigree to form an absolutely rock solid package. This is definitely one to play and highly recommended for sniping aficionados. Now that the level of presentation matches the in-game content it's a package not to be missed especially on PS5.

8.5 / 10.0 - Eastward

Eastward is an incredibly charming indie gem that’s well worth sinking hours into exploring its detailed post-apocalyptic world and unfolding its intriguing and heartwarming plot.

A serviceable remaster that reminds us of how good Sonic games can be when they're done right.

8 / 10.0 - Fracked
Sep 10, 2021

I'm a huge fan of PSVR because it is the ultimate vehicle for first-person shooters. Fracked transforms the typical first-person shooter by blending adventure and a novel cover system to create an immersive escapade that is incredibly enjoyable regardless of the storyline.

If you're a fan of the Movies, especially the best one of all, Aliens, then this game is a triumph in letting you live out your jovial colonial marine fantasy and bug hunt with two pals. The game is genuinely engaging if too short for its own good, but then again perhaps you could say that it doesn't outstay its welcome in being a short and sweet romp through the 12 Xenomorph filled environments. It's an absolute blast!

5.8 / 10.0 - FORECLOSED
Aug 30, 2021

Foreclosed is a reminder of the adage to not judge a book by its cover as despite its singular, eye-catching comic-book-meets-cyberpunk aesthetic and some promising mechanics, the execution is a botched one.

7.6 / 10.0 - No More Heroes 3
Aug 29, 2021

It's unfair to call No More Heroes 3 a mixed bag, even if it does look like one from the outside. With a production like this it's hard to tell what's a fault and what's intended by the author to be a little janky since by its very nature the series is an over the top marathon of satire and parody of our culture, from movies to video games. To me, it was just what the doctor ordered, but it's definitely not for everybody. Me? I just want more. I hope it's successful, so that I don't have to wait too long for the next instalment.

7 / 10.0 - Svoboda 1945
Aug 25, 2021

Svoboda 1945: Liberation is more of an interactive, gamified history lesson than a traditional video game but it is executed in an interesting and original way that prove to be an important way to entice people to learn more about history.

Brilliantly merging RPG mechanics in a compelling, immersive audio-based experience, The Vale: Shadow Of The Crown is easily the most original, innovative and unique game I’ve played in 2021 so far.

9 / 10.0 - OCO
Aug 17, 2021

OCO is the kind of game I can pick up and play for ten minutes, or pick up and play for an hour. With an endless stream of user generated content, supported by solid gameplay fundamentals and a gorgeous procedurally generated soundtrack, it's a game you can keep coming back to. Whether on mobile or PC, I encourage any lover of platforming to check it out.

9 / 10.0 - Spiritfarer
Aug 11, 2021

Spiritfarer has been one of the hardest games for me to review in recent memory. Presenting an incredibly personal journey supported by a sublime graphical style and soundtrack, it's something I can't get out of my head, and yet struggle to explain just how it captivated me. It is a fantastic experience, and one I wholeheartedly recommend.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is an excellent RPG and addition to the Monster Hunter series. Regardless of if you are a fan of the series, a first-timer, or just a fan of RPGs in general, I highly recommend giving this consideration.

8 / 10.0 - The Ascent

The Ascent strikes the right cyberpunk and action-shooter chords to make a strong impression as Neon Giant's debut title.

Overall, I can't recommend anyone paying $60 for this version of the game, it's not worth it. While some of QOL fixes are nice, and some of the new control schemes are good, overall I find it hard to recommend. If you like Zelda, you probably already bought this, and I hope you have fun with it, but if you haven't played Skyward Sword yet, this is probably the version to play...so long as you spend $30 or less.

8.7 / 10.0 - Sniper Elite VR
Jul 8, 2021

As much as I love Sniper Elite, 2016's technology is definitely letting it down in my honest opinion. Sniper Elite VR is undoubtedly an incredible experience, shoehorned into what is now last generation hardware, and though it wants so badly to show us what it's capable of, the game suffers from issues of the peripherals themselves. I have no doubt that the Oculus and Vive headsets will massively profit from enhanced resolution, field of view and refresh rates and overall deliver a far better experience on those platforms than the PSVR can currently dream of.
