Yomawari: Night Alone is a throwback to good old survival horror genre, spicing it up with emotional themes and ingenious mechanics to make for a definitive must-play for fans awaiting a game that will be remembered. A must-play.

7.5 / 10.0 - Job Simulator (VR)
Oct 17, 2016

A great introduction to VR in a fun and polished, though relatively short experience. If you're looking for a high quality game to showcase VR then you can't go wrong with Job Simulator.

Though Chase: Cold Case Investigations doesn't last long, it's still a fun game. The game doesn't pad itself out unnecessarily just to lengthen playtime, and knows exactly when to end, as well as having a good enough story to keep players interested the whole time through.

Dragon Quest Builders is an excellent building sandbox woven together with JRPG threads. It allowed me to have fun with the gameplay in a genre I wouldn't usually care for.

8 / 10.0 - Aragami
Oct 6, 2016

Aragami combines the tried-and-true concept of stealth, makes it its focus, and delivers. With beautiful presentation and unique, concentrated gameplay, Aragami sets a new standard for indies. Despite minor flaws in the AI and performance, Aragami is an experience not to be missed.

7.9 / 10.0 - Attack on Titan
Oct 4, 2016

Though Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom can get repetitive after quite a few hours in, there is a ton of mindless fun to be had from just speeding across expanses of land and taking down dozens upon dozens on giant foes. Even if you aren't a fan of the anime or manga, Wings of Freedom is a very enjoyable experience.

Jotun is the very definition of short and sweet. Offering level and boss variety with well animated hand drawn sprites in a challenging, albeit short package.

Boasting top-notch writing, visuals, and gameplay, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse is one of the 3DS' finest titles and an experience well worth your time.

While the overall writing and story is a little weak here, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice is still a fun game, featuring characters you all know and love. Sadly, it's starting to prove that living up to the quality of the first three games is a hard feat to pull off.

MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death might not appeal to a wide audience, particularly fans of DRPGs. A shallow narrative, an underutilized battle system and repetition make for an average game.

Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness will definitely appeal to fans of the anime. However with the little amount of player action and lines and lines of text, it might drive some away. However it does compensate with its replayability and engaging story line.

6.5 / 10.0 - Assault Suit Leynos
Sep 8, 2016

Assault Suit Leynos, simply put, is an updated version of a 1990 game. I do believe that it is worth the cost to upgrade for fans of the original game and also for fans of 2D shoot 'em ups in general. However, the game simply will not appeal to the vast majority of gamers in 2016.

Cornfox's attempt at taking on the Zelda formula makes for a neat but flawed little adventure. While not as polished, it's worth taking a look if you're a fan of Legend of Zelda style gameplay.

It’s not often that a game can be re-ported and re-mastered nine different times, but Resident Evil 4 isn’t just any game. In a time of constant remasters and re-releases flooding our current gaming market, Resident Evil 4 stands above the rest as a worthy re-release. If you’re a fan of Resident Evil, I highly recommend revisiting arguably the best game the series has ever offered. If you’ve never played a Resident Evil game before, this is a perfect time and place to jump in.

6.5 / 10.0 - No Man's Sky

It's very hard to judge this game. On one hand, it has limitless potential, but on the other it's lacking in just about every area. It fails to deliver on the promises made by the marketing team, but I'm not sure to what extent I can blame the developers of the game in this regard. NMS doesn't feel like an attempt to squeeze money out of people's wallets, it's not one of those games that's sold unfinished, with gaps filled in with DLC. It's a genuine attempt at trying something new and innovative, in many ways it's a work of art, it simply grew in scale so much since inception that it grew far beyond the developer's capacity to complete. I sincerely hope that they complete to build upon the solid foundation they've created so far because NMS is a diamond in the rough - it deserves to be polished and enjoyed.

All in all, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X is a little bit of a downgrade from past Diva titles, but the core gameplay is still as great as ever. If you’re a fan of rhythm games, definitely give this a go

An emphasis on bad puzzles and a lack of real communication turns Federation Force's focus away from where it should be: tough battles and strategic customization. It's not the game that most people were looking for, and it's certainly not flawless as a standalone title, but there's a lot it does well. Ambitious but ultimately underwhelming, the title unfortunately emphasizes the parts of itself which are the most problematic.

Overall, Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a worthy successor. The gameplay is near-perfect, the story has wonderful twists and turns throughout and despite some occasional graphical issues still manages to look great. If you're a fan of the Deus Ex universe, then I absolutely recommend you pick this up.

It seems Star Ocean fans are let down once again, with another mediocre entry for the series. This is hard to recommend, even to hardcore JRPG fans. Stale combat, and other gameplay issues ultimately prevent this game from being able to stand up with previous, more enjoyable Star Ocean titles.
