Age Of Empires 3 Definitive Edition beings 4k resolution to a 15 year old game and does a beautiful job,
Hades expertly combines an enthralling narrative with fantastic gameplay to raise the bar for the Rogue-lite genre.
Overall, I would recommend Going Under to those who are open to playing a lighter, yet challenging roguelite with an enthralling critique on neoliberalism.
Taking inspiration from the infamous Zodiac Killer, you too can feel the fear of hunting the hunter, or are you in fact also his prey?
Paradise Killer is a unique blend of visual novel and open world elements, with a killer story.
If you want to test your system and see just how much power you can put out (within the confines of a CPU limited game engine), then this will still show you what your rig is capable of. If you want a game that is perhaps the closest you can get to the opening fire fight of Predator (with similar otherworldly interference taking over) then this is without doubt a game you should grab! If you've played it before but don't know where you put your CD-ROM or even your DVD copy of the game, this might be a good excuse to shell out for a new digital version. Even if you just want a fun sci-fi action first person shooter with some fun future tech and some lovely visuals… grab a copy!
Wrapping up this review I would very much recommend at least giving this game a try. From the visuals, the difficult gameplay, hidden lore and mechanics there is something for everyone. It will test you, break you and leave you with this odd satisfaction even if you don't clear the game. Now if you'll excuse me there is a wall I need to smash my head against until I clear this game or have a hernia from all the odd ways I contort my body in rage trying to do so. With that said I give Noita four glasses of rum out of five.
Star Wars Squadrons is great value for money at just $49AUD or $39USD (October 2020) and provides a superb distraction to COVID-19 Earth by transporting you to the stars of Star Wars. While the single-player is good as it introduces you to the mechanics of the game, it's the multiplayer aspect where you'll be spending your space flight time and that's where the Star Wars Squadrons succeeds.
If you're looking to get your dance on with Queen, Let's Sing presents Queen is the perfect elixir to transport yourself into Queen's leading front man Freddy Mercury. The gameplay is sturdy, the music is phenomenal and when you add real-people to the mix, it makes for the perfect party game!
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 comes to Switch in all of it's glory, but with the trade-off being a less than desirable control scheme.
If you like the idea of running and gunning, feeling well and truly outnumbered but having a chance to defeat the odds then this could well be up your alley. If you require a bit more polish and seriousness (pun semi intended) in your game then this may be more down a dark path.
A tactical RPG with a comedic twist and surprisingly challenging combat.
Out of the three DLC packs that have been released so far, "Ghost Recon: Breakpoint: Episode 3 – Red Patriot" has to easily be one of the best when it comes to a compelling storyline, unique missions, and co-op gameplay. The missions are of decent length and feel more enjoyable than completing hundreds of tiny missions chained together. Players will particularly enjoy testing out the new Pathfinder class when playing either solo or in a group. The unique method of accessing the classes ultimate ability helps balance out its superior destructive and tactical advantage during combat. Overall, this is a DLC players will have fun playing and replaying as they try different approaches to some of the more difficult tasks.
A tough nut to crack, but this game has great potential and some serious rewards for persistence. Play with a keyboard at hand for a more enjoyable experience.
This game has no business being on a console. A painful and abrasive gameplay experience that will disappoint most players.
If you need some escapism from COVID-19 Earth, then Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is your elixir to freedom and is truly a fun and immersive experience on the PSVR, albeit a little repetitive at times but it's the only place to feel like a Jedi Boss!
Easy on the eyes and ears and fun to play, WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a simplified title that mainly works. Its horrific paywall system, however, immediately kills much of its good will.
With this Definitive Edition, players can now play all three Mafia games together giving the player many hours inside the world these teams created. I highly recommend this game to new and older players alike.
“Borderlands 3: Psycho Krieg and the fantastic Fustercluck” may not be the longest DLC in the franchise but it still sticks true to what you’d expect for a Borderlands DLC. While the concept is very similar to past DLC’s of previous games from within the series, the underlying message about mental health, coping, the loss of a loved one, and depression make for excellent talking points between friends and families. I’m not sure if that was the original intention of the DLC but given the global pandemic we currently find ourselves in, I think it’s an appropriate method for gamers of all ages to self-reflect on how they’re holding up.
Fall Guys is addictively chaotic multiplayer mayhem, and the mid-season update delivers some great new features that add to its replayability.
