All in all, anyone wanting to know how not to make a platformer should play Rad Rodgers. It's a surprisingly good example of all the wrong ways to go about it. Anyone else should probably avoid this title.

Fate/Extella offers tons of content, but it’s often frustrating content nonetheless.

Star Wars Pinball: Rogue One is yet another of a slew of amazing Zen pinball tables that fans of either Star Wars or Zen’s Pinball FX2 will most likely enjoy. I may have been spoiled in the past by Zen’s typical table packs, allowing me more than one way to experience a franchise, but at $3.99 you’re paying for 3 or 4 plays on a physical pinball machine, only you get to keep this one forever.

8 / 10.0 - The Little Acre
Jan 23, 2017

If you long for the classic adventure games of the past, with an art style that’s a cross between a Don Bluth cartoon and Sam & Max Hit the Road, The Little Acre will leave you with a smile on your face and hoping for a quick sequel.

I think as long as I can physically play games, I’ll be playing the Binding of Isaac, a timeless classic with layers of meaning and importance. Congratulations McMillen, Himsl and the entire Nicalis team, you’ve made a masterpiece.

Shantae: Half Genie Hero is a fun platformer with a lot to love. Shantae continues to prove her worth as an important character in gaming, eager to stand alongside characters like Mario or Mega Man. It’s definitely a game that will stand the test of time, many years from now as a classic.

Aside from some minor details and pending content updates, ROM: Extraction looks good, feels good and creates an intense alien destroying experience that is simple to pick up and sure to give you and your friends a challenging and competitive workout.

There isn’t enough new content in the game to make it unique or challenging enough for prolonged entertainment, yet it is still a one-of-a-kind experience that everyone using VR should have.

8.2 / 10.0 - Let it Die
Dec 18, 2016

It will be interesting to see how this game evolves over time, as continued support will definitely prolong how long hardcore players will continue putting in hours. I have certainly enjoyed my time with it and it’s something I plan on loading up regularly.

8.4 / 10.0 - The Last Guardian

The bond between the boy and the Trico tugged at my heartstrings. Even though the controls and camera made the game a little unnecessarily frustrating at times, the story and relationship developed made up for the flaws.

9.6 / 10.0 - Final Fantasy XV
Dec 10, 2016

Final Fantasy XV is an incredible journey across a unique world with interesting, fairly layered characters and awe-inspiring moments of epic visuals. It is a must play for fans and newcomers to the Final Fantasy series, and while it almost satisfies that expectation that comes from ten years of development, it just simply isn't perfect. Although, Noctis' story will live on as a highlight in the Final Fantasy anthology for many years to come.

If ever there was a poster game for how "Edutainment" should be done, it's this. KSP has gotten my ten-year-old thinking about orbital mechanics and interested in space in a way no textbook has done.

This is one scenario where Nintendo should have been generous, instead of making players work for everything. You can tell that it’s just not the playground it used to be, despite some options still being present.

8.5 / 10.0 - Killing Floor 2
Nov 18, 2016

I will say for the fans of Call of Duty zombies, please go buy this. If you can soak hours into that, then you’ll have no problem playing this with your friends. Just remember that this game is as much about survival as it as about action. That perfect balance creates one very memorable experience.
