If you are thinking about getting Arc of Alchemist, here is a bit of advice about playing it: Don’t.
One Step From Eden definitely captures the complexity and crunchy bones of what made Mega Man Battle Network so different and, with enough effort, it could be a roguelike worthy of standing next to its contemporaries. Unfortunately, there is enough holding it back and the challenge is so hard to overcome that I don’t think it’s a game that most players will get to see through to the end.
The game forces one to grind levels in a generic way while offering little satisfaction when hitting a milestone.
For people who like Guilty Gear’s anime graphics but don’t like how complicated those games are, or are not at all into Dragon Ball Z, this game is tailor-made for them.
Unfortunately, Kawaii Dethu Desu, despite its lovely visuals, is comparable to the free, mindless games that you might find on that virus-ridden website Addicting Games.
Taito’s latest creation is an example of a retro revival done right and a release this caliber was an awesome way to celebrate the franchise’s 34-year legacy.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered definitely brings back nostalgic memories without any of the toxicity.
This one could have used more development time and I really hope that whatever game development is done next with My Hero Academia learns from these mistakes.
I think that the combat can be really thrilling at times but there are areas that had me groaning. That said, I’m glad I pushed through to the end and I really hope that NEOPOPCORN takes what they’ve learned here for a new project, maybe even a more refined sequel.
I’m confident that I will be firing up The Longing on a regular basis throughout this year and beyond.
Making your way through the tower and uncovering more of the mystery and story is really enjoyable and the puzzles themselves offer enough challenge to make solving them satisfying without being too frustrating. It all comes together in a package that is appealing to not just me but my 5-year-old daughter too.
JRPG fans looking for a faithful remaster of a classic game, or just looking for a new tactically competent gridder will find a lot to enjoy here.
Neo Cab presents a solid discussion and encourages conversation with ourselves and technology.
Whether you’ve conquered many other quests already or have a young adventurer yearning for their first, Riverbond is a great adventure for the casual and the experienced.
Return of the Warriors is short but enjoyable fun that is great for die-hard players who lived through the arcade days, as well as a great opportunity for players looking for a different action experience.
Super Crush KO is a knockout!
Bloodroots is one of the best action games of 2020. It’s comically designed from a visual standpoint and extremely well made from a gameplay perspective.
If anything, Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate has opened my mind to musou games and I am really looking forward to going back to Dragon Quest Heroes, taking my first stab at Hyrule Warriors, and keeping a close eye on Persona 5 Scramble.
Some Distant Memory is a mystery worth unraveling.
Without Escape crafts its tale with a great deal of enthusiasm, something that isn’t seen that often in games today. It’s simplified but fast-paced point-and-click puzzle mechanics make for an interesting experience that, while short, is quite memorable.
