Love Theme Hospital or quirky management sims? Look no further than Two Point Hospital.
Football, in essence, is all about control, precision, strategy and creativity. You are in control of your team and its players and you determine how well they work together on the pitch. PES 2019 is football.
F1 2018 is an incredibly well-made racing simulator that doesn't change up too much from its predecessor, but rather builds and improves on what is already there.
Strange Brigade's humour and witty writing have a lot of charm, but some camera issues bland boss fights and inconsistent gunplay take away from the experience, leaving it as something fun to do with friends while turning into a slow grind alone.
While War of Thorns left a bad taste for many, the expansion proper has been a delight. Some quests have questionable writing and the tropes from previous expansions rear their heads in places, but the dungeon and levelling experience is great. Depending on where the story goes, this expansion could end up near the top.
Vroom Kaboom had a winning formula and its eclectic mixture of deck building, tower defence and vehicular mayhem sounded like something out of an adrenaline junky's dream journal. But the game falls short in almost every category and proves that if you want to be everything, you'll just end up being nothing.
Sword Legacy Omen has some solid ideas, mechanics and graphics, but gets let down by its levelling system and an inability to undo earlier skill decisions. Some characters end up feeling like permanent fixtures, while others slowly lose their usefulness as you fight enemies with instakill abilities and far too much health. A game with a strong start that loses its way.
WarioWare Gold takes the best games since launching on the GBA and brings it to the 3DS with over 300 playable microgames. It's fun, wacky and will keep your attention throughout story mode. It's unfortunately very short and comes with a multiplayer mode that requires your friend to own the game as well. Perfect for newcomers, but veterans might want to give it a skip.
Take a journey through the most hostile unknown environment on Earth inside a claustrophobic suit while you're also going mad from trauma. Narcosis pulls out all the stops in its pursuit to be the best underwater survival horror and for the most part, it succeeds in that lofty goal.
Overcooked 2 is just about the perfect couch co-op game. Have a partner or even a few friends to play with and you'll find relationships destroyed or strengthened in a matter of minutes. Play the game on your own, however, and the multi-tasking, meal-making coordination required for later levels can start to make it feel like a bit of a slog. So do yourself a favour and ensure you have a partner when playing Overcooked! 2 and you'll soon be having the time of your life, Gordon Ramsay-ing it up in no time.
Dead Cells is a brutally hard game to play, not because of its combat or mechanics but rather because of the steep penalty for failure. It still feels fun and rewarding to play though, so it is worth checking it out.
A virtual space explorer's dream and an easy going player's inventory management nightmare, No Man's Sky is an ambitious intergalactic sandbox survival game with narrative that opens your eyes to a philosophical view as to why we exist and how we can choose how we walk our path on this journey.
Welcome to the gun show, population you! Saving the last of humanity is somehow your responsibility in this fast, frantic bullet-dodging FPS where if you have the parts, you can build the best gun.
Sonic Mania is a re-imagination of what made the original 90s classics so enjoyable. It introduces new abilities, characters, levels and many other features to make this one of the freshest takes on a Sonic game in decades.
Despite going to Mars and robots and aliens and lasers, Lost on Mars is so pedestrian and does nothing new with the setting besides a few platforming puzzles. Saving the world feels rather dull in a desert on Mars.
Come for the VHS horror, stay for the twitchy line of sight strafing shooting as you take on armed forces in an experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong. GARAGE: Bad Trip is a B-movie, right to the dialogue and tongue-in-cheek humour.
This game plays out like a storybook and while it won't satisfy most gamers, those who like to read will enjoy the tale.
Survival horror is the perfect fit for virtual reality and The Persistence wants to set the benchmark for how it should be done properly. With full movement, immaculately detailed environments and the genuine feeling of horror, this is one of the best that the genre can offer in VR right now.
Lack of variety is this cute tower defence game's ultimate downfall. It builds a very solid foundation of what could have been an incredible game but falls very short in its objectives. You'll grow tired of it during your first few nights as you fight off cute monsters in your bedroom. It's still an endearing game despite its flaws and may be worth it on a sale sometime, but don't expect your pillows to explode from this.
What happens when you give players rules and powers that let them shape the world around them? Puzzles no longer need a key to solve as everything becomes a tool. Semblance is smart and satisfying and will squish its way into your heart.
