90 / 100 - Dark Souls III
Apr 26, 2016

Friend and foe both seem more characterized and fleshed out than ever before, and the remarkable urge to discover what lies ahead manifests itself as motivation to progress after each death.

Forza Horizon 4 and its new shared world offer up seemingly never ending gameplay options to get mixed up in, as well as one of the most beautiful looking video game visual presentations around. This is an open-world gaming experience worth getting lost in.

90 / 100 - Alone With You
Feb 9, 2017

Alone With You is very much the typical sci-fi game you would expect it to be. All the ingredients are there, and once they are mixed together it creates an unforgettable gaming experience.

90 / 100 - Until Dawn
Sep 7, 2015

No negative aspect of Until Dawn deters the player from enjoying the story, and Supermassive Games crafted the game in such a curious way that an urge to replay the game curses the player even before the credits start to roll.

The Flame in the Flood is certainly not without its flaws, but it hasn't deterred me from playing it on a daily basis.

90 / 100 - Forced Showdown
Aug 13, 2016

Forced Showdown shows the world that rogue-lite games don't always have to beat you down. With champions that have unique abilities and a deck building system that offers further customization, Forced Showdown's programs felt like a walk in the park at certain points. Definitely some of the best fun experienced in a long while with a rogue-lite game!

90 / 100 - Tricky Towers

Between the fluid puzzle gameplay with the addition of dark and light magic and the bright, playful graphics, Tricky Towers is a must have!

Telltale continues to tell a unique Batman tale (see what I did there) in the second episode of its series featuring Gotham's most iconic vigilante. The gameplay may be brain dead, but the story is well worth pursuing if you're a fan of the Bat, or just like a solid video game narrative to consume.

90 / 100 - Yakuza 0
Jan 19, 2017

Yakuza 0, much like its predecessors, has style for miles. Unlike previous games, however, Yakuza 0 comes out of the gate swinging, offering a more nuanced story and a strong, cohesive commitment to certain thematic elements. To sweeten the deal, Kamurocho and Osaka -- the game's main explorable cities -- are absolutely packed with diversions, collectables, and encounters. Yakuza 0 is the kind of game that you can spend eighty-some hours in without realizing a minute has passed.

THQ Nordic did a very nice job handling this remaster. All the mechanics that made the original Darksiders a hit are still there and thriving. Small technical issues held this game back from a more perfect score. Keep it up THQ Nordic and let's see the third entry soon!

Telltale is back with the third season of its The Walking Dead series, and the first two episode do not disappoint in the least. There's no reason not to pick them up and play if you've been with the series since the first season.

90 / 100 - Portal Knights
May 18, 2017

Portal Knights is a perfect mix of Sandbox and RPG elements. Take your character through plenty of different worlds, with no real guiding story unfortunately. Along the way you'll make new friends, get new gear, learn new spells and more! (I'll say it now, and I'll say it again, Portal Knights is FUN!)

This classic holds up well on the Xbox One, so if you've managed to miss it all this time like me, it's highly recommended to play on a MS console for the first time ever.
