10 / 10.0 - Persona 5 Royal
Mar 31, 2020

Persona 5 Royal is truly a game worth getting. Regardless if you’re an old member of the Phantom Thieves or fresh blood to the crew, Royal is a game worth investing days of your life in. Be prepared for a long story if you ever choose to do so, however.

Mar 30, 2020

If you’ve been looking to quench your thirst for a game that is challenging and would be fun to play with your friends this Nioh 2 is surely there to help you out. Overall, I believe that Nioh 2 has satisfied my thirst for git gud adventures and it’s definitely a game worth playing.

The gameplay alone guarantees more than a dozen hours of playtime, not including exploration and building up the Glade. It’s a wonderful story throughout that needs to be part of any gamer’s library of games. The ending most of all make it all the more worth it. If you are the kind of player that enjoys stories, tight platforming, challenging runs, or a combination of the three, then you can’t go wrong with Ori and Will of the Wisps.

My Hero One’s Justice 2 is a pretty good action fighting game to play. It has its own style to make up for it, and it stands out in its own way. It is a good game to put in your gaming library.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game that can gladden a fan’s heart as they enjoy the nostalgia, the ability to create their own hero, fight the grand battles, and meet the series’ heroes. As for me, I was happy to play the game, but I will not go through with it again. One playthrough is enough.

9 / 10.0 - Dreams
Mar 20, 2020

It’s crazy to think that everything you see and hear in Dreams is made from scratch, entirely by the software’s engine. Now imagine if a full-fledged video game dev team actually spends time to make a game here. The possibilities? Limitless.

You seriously must possess two learning skills such as visual and audio modalities. Visual so you can see the pattern and let your muscles do the rest while audio help you hear the pattern making Patapons carry out your commands and building that momentum. I find myself on the edge of my seat, gritting my teeth while singing out loud just so I can time my rhythm and not mess the chain commands. It is quite enjoyable but failing too may times really drains my stamina.

7.5 / 10.0 - Lost Ember
Feb 19, 2020

Overall, Lost Ember is the type of game that you play when you want to take a break from the stress that the world gives you or from games that could also cause the same said stress. It’s a beautiful tapestry of breath-taking sceneries and mind-relaxing soundtrack. If you are looking for a game to de-stress or just want to escape the harsh reality of the world, then I highly recommend this game to you.

If you are looking for a good adventure game with some a bit of combat, this is a good find. It only takes a weekend to complete most of the quests. If you’ve got a couple of days, you might even find out what happens when you complete your mission before going back to Earth. For it’s witty writing alone, I highly recommend this game to players of all ages and skill levels. And do definitely stay for the exploration, it’s definitely worth it.

8.5 / 10.0 - Darksiders Genesis
Dec 16, 2019

I recommend this game to players who enjoy hack-and-slash action games who don’t mind a bit of platforming from time to time. If you enjoy isometric combat games, that’s a great plus. And don’t worry about prior knowledge. If this game truly interests you, you’ll no doubt want to see what the other games are all about.

Overall, SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays is a new upgrade to the series. There are more features that are convenient and new to the franchise. This will definitely stay in my game library for a long while.

Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is an odd game – much like the franchise as a whole. The game doesn’t take itself very seriously, and if you can forgive the obvious lapses in map balance and the general Overpowered nature of some characters, there is much fun to be had here.

Terminator Resistance is a mediocre game. This shooter just isn’t satisfying enough to recommend a buy. It has its fun moments and treats the source material well. But if you’re looking for a fun first-person shooter, you’d best look elsewhere. Terminator Resistance is definitely one for the long-time fans. Overall it feels like this game could’ve been better than it was.

6 / 10.0 - Profane
Dec 4, 2019

I would not recommend Profane to most of my friends who have terrible, terrible hand coordination skills, but I would recommend this to a few of them who like a challenge. I just wish they had bonus items that will increase the time limit, which will make it more convenient but still challenging to play.

Overall, the game has beautiful graphics and aesthetics but it’s not enough to save the game from the monotony of its gameplay. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that it’s unplayable but it’s that kind of game where you just want to play it once and check what it’s all about and then forget about it to move on to the next game.

Netflix’s Narcos series sucks you in and this game just literally sucks. I honestly expected a lot with how fast-paced and exciting every episode is. The video game just went the opposite direction and if the developers are going for another round at this, I suggest they make major improvements.

Jedi: Fallen Order wasn’t dull or lackluster, there were big surprises that pushed me back from my seat, tons of memorable moments, the combat was definitely fulfilling, and it stayed loyal to its source material. While it’s not a technical marvel, I’ve never had this level of fun in any video game this year and I’m certainly glad that Respawn Entertainment delivered one of the greatest Star Wars games in history.

9 / 10.0 - Death Stranding
Nov 17, 2019

Death Stranding is a beautiful game and one hell of an experience. That being said, this isn’t your average action-adventure game. It’s a game that boldly breaks the norm of video games by having tedious fetch quests that would be the death of any other game. And yet, Death Stranding somehow makes all of its mechanics work.

9.5 / 10.0 - Planet Zoo
Nov 15, 2019

Planet Zoo doesn’t shy away from being a deep theme-park sim as it manages so well to be friendly to newcomers in this kind of game. What I love the most about Planet Zoo is its in-depth gameplay mechanics. I immediately fell in love with the game after the first level of Career Mode. I’ve spent a lot of hours here than on Jurassic World: Evolution and I’m continuing to spend more time cranking up my zoo’s rating and trade animals with another player. Frontier Developments, you guys definitely need an award for this.

Need for Speed: Heat plays it safe in many regards. On the one hand, it tries to distance itself from Payback. And on the other, it is a mesh of carefully put together mechanics from previous games – wrapped in the colors of South Beach. This is not the next step in the franchise, but rather a glorious return to form after taking a hit. It combines the best parts of games such as Most Wanted and Underground. The game itself is an excellent starting point for anyone every curious about the world of Need for Speed. The simplified controls make maneuvering a blast. And keeping the option open to revert back to older controls for series veterans is much appreciated. I highly recommend this game for players of various skill ratings.
