Utawarerumono – Prelude to the Fallen is just like any visual novel that I would recommend. It might have a slow start, but it picks up the pace once you pass a certain point. The strategy RPG part is interesting as well. If you like visual novels, you can keep a copy, but for just the experience just borrow a copy and be done with it. It is enjoyable as a one-time play only.
I had to believe that this video game was more than what the movie from 2015 offered. With the mash-up of every possible iconic horror monsters and the creativity of the Goosebumps world, I truly thought this would be a good scary experience relieving my childhood. Yet its another great disappointment and I recommend unless you want your kids to play this out, to sit this one out and just stream gameplay online.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated still kept what was adored about its whimsical atmosphere that the 2003 original offered while giving fans and new players something fresh.
There is much to like about this game. It’s a unique experience that few big studios are willing to take. Perhaps the game would have been better if it had a little more time to bake. We’ll never know. What I do know is that, at it’s best, the game’s a frantic tactical shooter with some moments of pure fun. Otherwise, it’s just another shooter from the perspective of a hoverbike. I still would recommend this game just for the novelty factor alone. Honestly, it’s not the worst sci-fi shooter out there, it just doesn’t do much to stand out besides being a little different.
The Last of Us Part II is rather daring when it comes to its narrative. It tells a very mature tale of revenge and what the effects of civilization crashing down has brought on humanity. At times, it will push you out of your comfort zone as we see people being tortured, mutilated, and brutalized by even the protagonist herself.
We tell you, it’s a good game! It’s not average! It might have some problems here and there, but you have to admit it is a “Good” game.
Those Who Remain introduces an interesting thriller that is worth checking out. If you’re a fan of Silent Hill, Outlast, and Amnesia-like games, then this is definitely worth checking out.
Maneater is enjoyable at best. It’s the kind of game that doesn’t require a lot of thinking and just lets you enjoy as a shark along with the hilarious know-it-all-of-shark narrator. So here are the things you need to know to enjoy Maneater: turn off your brain, do not be picky with your food, and just evolve into the Mega Shark.
If you’re looking for a survival horror zombie game to play after the Resident Evil 3 Remake, then perhaps Daymare 1998 on the console isn’t it. If you really want to try this game, I’d recommend going for PC instead. But right now, with its technical limitations, sluggish controls, bland and uninteresting story, generic characters, and questionable game mechanics I can’t quite recommend Daymare 1998 to anyone.
Moving Out separates itself from the other games in the couch co-op landscape. It can be played casually, just get a bunch of your friends and you can breeze through the campaign with little to no problem, but if you decide to brave the hidden levels, your perseverance and skill will be rewarded with that Dark Souls-like euphoria that is very rare in video games. The special part is that you get to experience that feeling of euphoria together.
The entertainment industry does this all the time, they take a very successful piece and turns it into something inadequate. This time, a great movie turned into a video game and it just doesn't cut it —heck, not even close.
I recommend this game to anyone’s ever played an XCOM-like game. Veterans and newbies alike will find something they might like, despite the game needing more polish. Just watch that Anarchy meter. The late-game pressure sneaks on you rather quickly.
I enjoyed Predator: Hunting Grounds, no doubt, but the glaring issues it has as an overall package is difficult to ignore. This would have been a great game if it had a single-player campaign. Do you know what would have been an awesome 4v1? Ridley Scott’s Alien.
There are probably other features of the game that I have not covered yet but I will leave that to you to explore. All I can say is, this game is worth the play as it is interesting enough to get into. It may be slow in the beginning but the game picks up considerably once you get through the first two chapters. If you like an action-packed RPG with a good amount of story, then Trials of Mana is something worth picking up.
Overall, POE II: Deadfire is a welcome addition to the tabletop RPGs for the console. I really love the great attention to detail. The ever branching story based on your decisions. And the crew of ragtag heroes that you can always replace and recruit from your old tavern. If you are into tabletop RPG, then this game is definitely worth getting into.
In its entirety, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is a great game to play and grind because it is not boring, colorful, fun gameplay, and if you are a fan of the franchise, you will definitely love this. A must-have for the biggest fans of the series. Heck, I caught up with the story arcs I missed through this game.
This remake is a chance for those who have yet to play FFVII to learn what it’s about and why it’s one of the most iconic games of all time. This reimagination of FFVII is what I believe the fans have always thought FFVII would be deep inside them.
My Friend Pedro is easily one of the most stylish and action-filled games of the last decade. It’s breakneck speed to the finish line left me wanting more. It’s a great case for the age-old argument “are video games art?”. For my money, I think My Fred Pedro is.
Doom Eternal remains a must-have for players who enjoy the challenge. It is unapologetic when it comes to making the player suffer, but victory through adversity appeal with a certain group of gamers, me included. So, in the words of the Slayer himself, “Rip and tear… until it’s done.”
Overall, Resident Evil 3 Remake is still good. But you may want to keep in mind the short length of gameplay it has before purchasing it at full price.
