Sirus Gaming's Reviews

Nov 27, 2019

Netflix’s Narcos series sucks you in and this game just literally sucks. I honestly expected a lot with how fast-paced and exciting every episode is. The video game just went the opposite direction and if the developers are going for another round at this, I suggest they make major improvements.

Jedi: Fallen Order wasn’t dull or lackluster, there were big surprises that pushed me back from my seat, tons of memorable moments, the combat was definitely fulfilling, and it stayed loyal to its source material. While it’s not a technical marvel, I’ve never had this level of fun in any video game this year and I’m certainly glad that Respawn Entertainment delivered one of the greatest Star Wars games in history.

9 / 10.0 - Death Stranding
Nov 17, 2019

Death Stranding is a beautiful game and one hell of an experience. That being said, this isn’t your average action-adventure game. It’s a game that boldly breaks the norm of video games by having tedious fetch quests that would be the death of any other game. And yet, Death Stranding somehow makes all of its mechanics work.

9.5 / 10.0 - Planet Zoo
Nov 15, 2019

Planet Zoo doesn’t shy away from being a deep theme-park sim as it manages so well to be friendly to newcomers in this kind of game. What I love the most about Planet Zoo is its in-depth gameplay mechanics. I immediately fell in love with the game after the first level of Career Mode. I’ve spent a lot of hours here than on Jurassic World: Evolution and I’m continuing to spend more time cranking up my zoo’s rating and trade animals with another player. Frontier Developments, you guys definitely need an award for this.

Need for Speed: Heat plays it safe in many regards. On the one hand, it tries to distance itself from Payback. And on the other, it is a mesh of carefully put together mechanics from previous games – wrapped in the colors of South Beach. This is not the next step in the franchise, but rather a glorious return to form after taking a hit. It combines the best parts of games such as Most Wanted and Underground. The game itself is an excellent starting point for anyone every curious about the world of Need for Speed. The simplified controls make maneuvering a blast. And keeping the option open to revert back to older controls for series veterans is much appreciated. I highly recommend this game for players of various skill ratings.

8.3 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds
Nov 11, 2019

The Outer Worlds is a wild adventure that really goes out of its way to give the players a memorable experience in a very replayable way. There is life in the game and there’s barely any annoyances that would make one think otherwise of playing it. The decision making you do as a player really solidifies its core element which is the player’s choice (not Spacer’s Choice). Every little thing you do in the Outer Worlds will have an impact on you whether you noticed it or not.

5.5 / 10.0 - The Crew 2
Jul 18, 2018

Its great for those who are really into collecting and experiencing different vehicle types, but aside from that, it’s not a game that’ll keep you coming back for more. The teams at Ivory Tower need to release some major updates and events if they want to keep this game afloat. Until then, The Crew 2 just barely chugs along.

A throwback is good every now and then, but it’s the younger generations that need a recall of what it was like during the great-ol-days.

7 / 10.0 - Vampyr
Jul 18, 2018

Overall, the game is enjoyable when you don’t encounter the game breaking bugs which more than often happens and it can be frustrating when they do. Even in the current patch when I tried to update the game, those bugs have still not been quelled. I hope that in the future that they can fix the PlayStation port because I feel like they did not really give that much attention to it and just focused their resources more on the PC release.

Truth be told, I felt my eyes hurting a bit after watching color changing a bit too much and staring too long at something trying to figure out what it is. Perhaps it’s just me, but I wanted to put my thoughts out there.

So is Splatoon 2’s first ever paid DLC worth the $20? Heck, yeah! Not only are you given the missions, but finishing even just the main story is worth it. It’s nice to see the Off the Hook team in action for once. Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion really feels like it’s what Splatoon 2’s main campaign should have been.

4.4 / 10.0 - Aggelos
Jul 18, 2018

All in all? This game is nothing too impressive. You’re better off playing actual classic titles because at least those have way more to offer than this game. Not saying that this game is totally bad, but it could have been so much more.

7.5 / 10.0 - Super Bomberman R
Jul 17, 2018

Super Bomberman R is a good game. It’s not that great, but it’s good enough to let me play through all the levels in story mode and a couple of matches with people I know. What’s really great is how many new characters are being added to the playable roster after all these months, with the latest being Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series. Playstation even gets an additional Ratchet and his trusty robot sidekick Clank.

9.3 / 10.0 - Runbow
Jul 9, 2018

Runbow is an annoying, and frustrating game to play yet fun, exciting, and draws you in to do better. It’s great to play with more players and challenge them to do the highest score and be on top. Good for playing together with friends and family in get-togethers or in gatherings.

I'm really glad that Activision and Vicarious Visions ported N. Sane Trilogy to the Nintendo Switch; because playing the game on the go, especially that the game has arcade mechanics, is definitely a kicker and worthwhile.

If you are the kind of gamer who appreciates destruction – beautifully done destruction, this game will satisfy. Hands down. If you are expecting to have an epic storyline involving a superior military force going up against a ragtag group of rebels, I’m sorry. You are better off searching somewhere else. Other than that. it’s a very fun game that is accessible to plenty of gamers.

6.7 / 10.0 - Mulaka
Jun 29, 2018

Overall, the game provides a very refreshing take on action/exploration genre. The variety it gives and the many places you can travel provides enough entertainment to keep you playing for hours. The story is definitely not it’s strongest aspect but it does make up for it in terms of gameplay. The puzzles were also entertaining for the most part but they can get repetitive along the way. The reason why I say this is because it’s as basic as collecting three stones to unlock a door and then defeat the monster from within that door. Although there are segments where the game gets creative with how you obtain these stones.

5.9 / 10.0 - New Gundam Breaker
Jun 29, 2018

Sadly, this is a hard pass for players who covet the older Breaker games. The number of series on offer is a limiting factor and a far cry from the options offered in past games. For anyone who is looking for a fresh take on the series, this is it. I certainly hope that these rough beginnings will lead to better games in the future.

LEGO The Incredibles is just a fun game to play for kids and nostalgic adults. It’s a lot spoiler-ish, but I think they really wanted to follow the story of the recent movie anyway. It’s a good one playthrough game for me though as an adult gamer.
