World of Final Fantasy is far from a perfect game but it is an enjoyable experience. Some of the fans might not enjoy the light-hearted tone and cutesy design of WoFF, and feel like it is a departure from the serious and realistic direction many of the main-line FF titles have strived for; but I say this game embodies the wonder of a Final Fantasy game. It is actually a great way to introduce your child or younger siblings to the “World of Final Fantasy“.
Finally, Ghostbusters’ price was the final nail in the coffin. Or the first one, actually. The price tag on this game is just too high for the amount of content and play time it provides; not counting the unnecessary hours spent because of how dragging passing through a level can be. Even while writing this review, the game is on sale but I still personally find it too expensive. Maybe it tried to ride on the popularity of the movie, which, in the first place, already got a negative reception even before it went out on the big screen. It’s a good looking game, but Ghostbusters is not a game we recommend to buy, so you may want to go look for a friend who already has a copy and play on it if you want to experience it.
Eagle Flight has achieved what some other VR games couldn’t, and that’s fluidness of its gameplay and experience. I didn’t experience motion sickness, fortunately. Looting for feathers and fishes can be reasons to get back into the wings of an eagle, but it’s not enough to make replayability last.
With that being said though, I do love this game. This game felt like a Triple-A title with the heart and soul of an indie game. I applaud the people who made this game, you guys have done a marvelous job. I will certainly look forward to more adventures with Tungdil and his merry band of dwarves.
Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is best suited for the newcomers who are just dipping their toes into the vast waters of the Assassin's Creed franchise. You will appreciate how the game has evolved once you've gone through all three games and what it has to offer. Plus you will definitely get lost in the intertwined stories of Desmond and his ancestor Ezio. This is also recommended for those who just wants to dive back into Animus 2.0 tagging along with Rebecca, Shaun, and Lucy. I definitely still had a blast playing it even thought I have already played this game back then.
The lovely campaign, great character development, improved driving, the beautiful virtual San Francisco, and the interesting gameplay mechanics made Watch Dogs 2 one hell of an open-world experience. The story may not standout but it’s a far better plot than the first Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs 2 is inventive and amazing! A sequel worth playing.
No Man’s Sky is (as what most people shall have it) a survival, action-adventure game that is set in a procedurally generated environment that allows players to be immersed in a variety of settings.
I may not have been impressed with Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham, but it leaves a lot of mystery surrounding The Joker and his motives. And with this, I hope Episode 5: City of Lights can prove that the season will close with an intense and thrilling finale.
It's a good game but the game came a little too late as there are other top-down shooter games which can deliver a lot more entertainment than what this game can offer. But if you are just looking for another game to dive into and finish, then it is a game worth picking up for its price.
Duke Nukem 3D – 20th Anniversary World Tour was able to give me a good time (and several frustrations), but I can’t say the price for the game is as good as the game itself right now. It’s currently at 10$ on the Steam, which is really not that big, but judging by how the game works I’d say it’d be best if you’d wait for a sale (for about 15%-25% off, I guess).
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is beyond odd. Two-third of the experience is pretty good, the remaining one-third leaves much left to be desired. The next Call of Duty should focus more on adding gameplay onto the multiplayer, in my opinion.
The straightforward and flat story of Robinson is quite expected especially in most VR games anyway. Nobody can simply put 8 hours in a whole VR experience because of the motion sickness problem. But adding that aside, Robinson: The Journey did allure me enough with its visuals and adorable characters, and its thrilling up-close experience with dinosaurs, but not enough to make me replay the whole game from the beginning for a second time.
Kerbal Space Program's selling price is moderately steep even during sale events, but the sheer amount of gameplay hours you can get from it is all worth it. The mere fact that there's some real science going on behind the game is telling us that this game is no joke.
It’s very unfortunate and unlucky for Titanfall 2 to release in between the 2 big titles with well-established communities: Battlefield 1 and Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Even if the sales figures are not what EA and Respawn were expecting, Titanfall 2 is the best of the bunch — the underdog that deserves the spotlight. Respawn has delivered another brilliant game with an engaging story, outstanding musical score, and intense multiplayer action. Titanfall 2 deserves the spot in your library of games; and this is now one of my Top 5 Best Games of 2016.
Forza Horizon 3 is rather a strange one. It sits in its own category as a racing game genre, but is somewhere in between the arcade and simulation type of games. It’s not similar to iRacing, Project Cars, Need for Speed or Burnout — it is what it is. Forza Horizon 3 is a good game that’ll guarantee you a fun time.
Superdimension Neptune Vs Sega Hard Girls is a great addition to the series along with other great games. With new characters and gameplay mechanics added to the franchise, there isn’t really anything holding this game back. Though the next mainline game in the series is far-off, there is already another game on its way to the west — hopefully the Sega Hard Girls will appear again.
Episode 6: Hokkaido is not a season ‘finale’ grade chapter in the first season of IO Interactive’s Hitman. The less challenging, convenient, and the lack of impact in this episode just made the thing felt it was rushed to hit a mark on a release date. Nonetheless, I applaud IO Interactive for making Hokkaido to catch the country’s atmosphere than any other Hitman episodes I’ve played.
That said, Battlefield 1 is posed to be the best multiplayer experience this 2016. It has brought back the uniqueness that made Battlefield special in the first place that was missing the past couple games: a sense of complexity and realism.
The New World Order at the beginning can be uninteresting and dull without any flavor because of the poor intro sequence; this, however, changes along the way. The episode starts to be engaging at the first few acts slowly, and leaves you at a very interesting cliffhanger that makes you want Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham to come out sooner.
Gears of War 4 delivers on all that it had promised, a wonderful campaign with twist and turns, leavings us wanting. The multiplayer feels fresh and is worth playing to get better at for competitive modes; along with a horde mode that will test you but make you feel accomplished when it’s all finished.
