Drawing on the soundtracks of all the main chapters of Final Fantasy and most of its increasingly numerous spin-offs, the Japanese partnership composed of Square Enix and indieszero has been able to give shape once again to an exciting rhythm game, which sees in the content component its main merit.

Deliver Us Mars is a strongly story-driven adventure, which places great emphasis on the touching narrative sector, able to make the player reflect continuously, and on the exploration of a planet full of mysteries: the climbs of the rocky walls of Mars work but it is the variety in terms of environmental puzzles that is missing.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty looks like a star that shines at times, suspended between bright peaks of gameplay and technical hiccups.

The inspired environments and tactical element behind the gunplay are certainly appreciable but they fail to overcome the boundaries of sufficiency to Scars Above.

In virtual reality Village is a different game, not better. It has the limits of a retrospective conversion, from interactions with the environment to a partial reconstruction of the gameplay that, despite being functional, shows some difficulty in adapting in some situations. In the vibrant setting of a multifaceted horror, Resident Evil Village on PSVR 2, however, knows how to intimidate, stimulate, engage, and it succeeds very well.

Thanks to many new contents and a modernized graphic design, this revival of Kirby's Return to Dream Land earns the word Deluxe: it is in fact a re-edition packaged with care and respect for the original material.

Octopath Traveler II is basically a "more of the same". Although the guys at Acquire have made several adjustments to the formula of the original, implementing interesting innovations such as the day / night cycle or latent powers, none of them can be defined as really impactful.

Atomic Heart tries to do everything it can and wants: in fact, it offers a combat system that mixes firearms and powers, and then drops everything into an open world a bit 'end in itself.

Company of Heroes 3 is certainly a solid production, whose path follows without particular deviations the path left by its two predecessors. But it is not a big problem that the gameplay has remained substantially unchanged, because that mixture between classic strategy (in greater dose) and simulation continues to work, to propose a delicious depth that never leads to the most rigorous complexity.

Summing up, OddBallers looks like a potentially very funny title, but with an overly simplistic realization, which would certainly have benefited from greater care both in the expression of one's jaunty style, as well as in the polishing phase. Being the idea behind the gameplay so simple we expect that in the future, with the right support, the Ubisoft title can expand its already decent content offer, coming to constitute a good alternative in the field of party games.

Like a Dragon Ishin is a must-see for longtime fans of Kiryu Kazuma and other yakuza legends. It is in fact an adventure full of fanservice, both in a purely playful (with the Trooper Card) and narrative, restored in Unreal Engine 4 to be even more pleasant from a visual point of view.

Wild Hearts fits into a genre landscape dominated by an extraordinary contender. The "tested" elements are many and evident, but the game still finds its dimension thanks to the introduction and management of karakuri.

Horizon: Call of the Mountain is a virtual reality game with an ordinary gameplay formula and "reduced to the bone" when compared to the action adventures that make up the main saga.

While we understand and appreciate Bandai Namco's decision to bring Tales of Symphonia to as many platforms as possible, in order to allow new generations to (re)discover one of the most important chapters of the franchise, we firmly believe that such a lazy remastering is not the most effective (nor the most respectful) method to revive a great classic of the past and celebrate its twentieth anniversary.

Evaluating Wanted: Dead means coming to terms with the past of the action genre. We repeat: we had a lot of fun during the most agitated moments, fighting against some of the most peculiar bosses, or noticing the constant references to pop, cyberpunk and the history of video games of the 2000s. Unfortunately, however, the weight of technical inaccuracies and the inconsistency of the plot, the slowness of the interludes between an explosion of violence and the next, are evidently out of tune notes and condition the charm of an experience that in any case is able to entertain the most irrediculable fans of the action.

Ultimately, Metroid Prime is a title that must absolutely be rediscovered and this remaster is without a doubt its best version.

Hogwarts Legacy can be a manifesto of the heart that wins over reason. The one basted by Avalanche Software is in fact an open world RPG not very stimulating in the dynamics of exploration and with a role-playing formula not entirely impactful, which could tire the most demanding players. However, we believe that the flaws are well balanced by a good combat system, a great attention to detail and an impeccable artistic direction, which represents a true love letter to the Wizarding World and its fans.

The entry of the series into the world of Xbox family consoles (remember that AoE 2 also landed on PS2 with poor results) seemed more than positive and represents a useful experiment to correct the shot and propose any changes to the launch of the Xbox Series X|S version of Age of Empires 4. In other words, we are sure that the latter will treasure the work done with this Definitive Edition and the valuable feedback from users.
