With its rich story, compelling characters, and wealth of different ways to approach any situation, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a title that plants its flag in the tactical RPG genre and stands heads and tails above its competitors. Requiring plenty of patience to learn the game mechanics and to absorb the immense amount of story thrown at the player; this title may not be for everyone but if you're willing to invest the time this title is one that will be played over and over for years to come.

This title is pretty and has decent platforming despite not pulling the player in or offering challenging puzzles. Simply put, it does as much right as it does wrong. It's short, but it doesn't overstay its welcome due to that. It's too easy, but it makes for a nice quick completion when you've got some extra time. Might not be a bad idea to wait for a sale and complete it in only a little bit more time than it takes to download.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is arguably the best game in the series so far. With it's fast paced, movement focused gameplay and the wealth of content available to a player you will find something to keep you entertained. It isn't a perfect game and of course it is not going to be for everyone but for those who are looking for a fun and addictive shooter look no further then Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash.

An improvement over the previous episodes and the last season, but still marred by technical problems with Telltale's aging engine.

5.5 / 10.0 - Project Remedium
Sep 21, 2017

I found Project Remedium's aura to be its highlight, and gameplay its downfall. It claims to be story-driven, but there isn't much of a story. Missions are utterly generic without much to enhance the experience in terms of skill trees or equipment. I definitely recommend Project Remedium based on its concept alone, but the gameplay itself is no better than average.

A decent game that doesn't seem like it was completely finished before being released. It's not a bad game, but neither is it a great game. One for hardcore Visual Novel fans only I'm afraid.

9 / 10.0 - The Escapists 2
Sep 17, 2017

The Escapists 2 adds a lot of content and is still the best prison escaping simulator available. There really aren't any major negatives here; if you enjoy the thought of planning prison escapes in a videogame you should pick this up right now.

Though Lichtspeer may not be the deepest experience around, its confluence of moreish gameplay and eye-catchingly ice-cool presentation is a devilishly fun time that has the potential to spear ol' boredom right between the eyes.

8 / 10.0 - Majotori
Sep 16, 2017

Majotori is a lot of fun and an engaging title which will bring a smile to your face. It's a title that is worth checking out as it's one you can enjoy and with the stories alone.

1.5 / 10.0 - Crimson Earth
Sep 16, 2017

The PC market is already over-saturated with zombie shooters, and Crimson Earth doesn't bring anything new to the table. With enough bugs, odd design choices and crashes to fill a book, you'd be better off sticking to richer shooters such as Killing Floor or Nation Red. Even for the £2.79 price tag, this is really hard to recommend.

6 / 10.0 - DeadCore

For those who want a challenging platforming title on the PS4, DeadCore is right up your alley. For casual gamers out there, I would recommend going elsewhere.

Hopefully this game will be patched to the extent that people don't need to worry about losing hours of progress, but you should probably avoid purchasing until then.

"What could have been" is a theme writ large in this game. The mark was missed by so narrow a margin it's a real shame

6.5 / 10.0 - Mages of Mystralia
Sep 11, 2017

Mages of Mystralia is a beautiful looking game containing balanced gameplay surrounded by solid folklore. The spellcrafting system is one-of-a-kind, but contributes to puzzle-solving much more than it does combat. Either way, the puzzles are varied and fair in terms of difficulty, but weak character development and jumpy pacing will surely throw you off.

Not only is Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 the best football game in terms of graphics, it is the best I have experienced in terms of gameplay. The level of detail and player likenesses create a game that comes as close to you'll get to the real thing. There are still a few minor issues with presentation, and perhaps a few more changes could have been made to Master League and Become a Legend, but I'm clutching at straws here. The gameplay is near perfection, the AI and goalkeepers are improved, Konami have added further licenses to their product, and the graphics are amazing. Hopefully the servers are ready for online and with just a few minor presentation improvements to be improved on, PES really has set the bar of what a football game should be.

Copious amounts of story content occasionally broken up by challenging tactical combat will keep you entertained for hours. Masquerada is a beautiful game with fantastic well written characters and a plethora of story content. If you're the type that likes to take their time and absorb themselves in the world then Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is the game for you.

I would argue that Eventide 2 is one of, if not, the best Artifex Mundi games available on Xbox at this point. I truly hope that future titles share Eventide 2's trend of improving on previous games. Honestly though, you'll have to have played the previous titles to appreciate the changes this title has made.

8 / 10.0 - Feral Fury
Sep 9, 2017

Running and gunning, exploration, big bosses, upgrades and tons of deaths makes this game mostly enjoyable throughout many runs. While not improving on The Binding of Isaac's gameplay, Feral Fury does a good job of good enough replacement that can stand on its own if given the chance.
