In the end, we both liked playing through 2064: Read Only Memories. Though at first it had some pacing issues, its charming retro look and feel, the great voice cast, and its homage to the classic point and click adventures from another era keep us coming back for more… and we hope the game has the same effect on you. Laser Disco Defenders is very addictive and a lot of fun. A single run in story mode will keep you busy for a bit as you retry over and over again after being defeated. Every time you lose you learn something, and unlocking new accessories will give you and advantage over your enemies in subsequent runs. If you’re looking for an arcade-style release on PS4 and Vita – and a cross-buy one – then you should definitely give Laser Disco Defenders a try!

I had a lot of fun with the Zen Pinball 2: Bethesda Table pack. The DOOM table ended up being my favorite, even though I didn’t have a connection with the recent source material – this goes to shows the strength of the table design. I liked the Fallout table since I love the Fallout universe in general, and certainly had fun playing it. I still enjoyed the Skyrim table, but it had the most flaws of the group too. Great design and aesthetic, but the table itself doesn’t reach the goals I think it was aiming for. Overall, this is a great showing for Zen Pinball 2 and a bundle you definitely need to try for yourself.

Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World serves its purpose by celebrating the Duke Nukem series while allowing a new generation of players to enjoy a beloved release. The full trophy count, improved visuals, and framerate, new music, new one-liners from the voice of Duke and the new episode make this a must-have for both fans and newcomers to the franchise.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone is a massive release with over 200 songs total if you purchase both song packs. You’ll be spending over a dozen hours with the game just by playing each song a single time and we all know that when we enjoy rhythm games we end up replaying songs over and over. Not to mention that once your skills improve you’ll want to go up in the difficulty setting, which will, in turn, make each song feel fresh thanks to the extra icons and changes in the rhythm at which said icons enter the screen. If you’re a fan of Hatsune Miku, you have to buy this game. And if you’re not a fan – yet – this is the perfect starting point.

There is also a four-player competitive racing mode which, unfortunately, is purely online. There is no co-op or local play which was to be expected considering how the game plays. It would probably have been too hectic to have local split screen multiplayer where each racer is changing between all tracks!

8 / 10 - Bard's Gold
Jan 4, 2017

Overall the game is a lot of fun. There’s plenty of options for people of all skill levels to enjoy the release, and there’s a lot of content to play. I liked the pixel art graphics and the catchy music. After doing several runs, and even after writing this Bard’s Gold review, I’ve continued going back to the game. It’s priced at a very reasonable $5, and, while it doesn’t have a Platinum trophy, its trophy list will keep you very busy.

: Overall we really liked what this new take on Fairy Fencer F had to offer. If all goes well, we might even get a sequel on PS4! The addition to the battle system was great and completely changes the way battles play out. The new storylines are a major addition to the game and give players who already enjoyed this one on PS3 a reason to come back for more.

The Bug Butcher is a great release that pays homage to the arcade-style games of ages past. It controls perfectly, offers a ton of great weapons, and lots of replayablitly. The game is perfect for both short burst of gaming as well as for longer sessions, making it a must-have for your PlayStation 4.

8 / 10 - The Dwarves
Dec 23, 2016

The story, however, is fantastic and well written. This is a massive game with a ton of content to enjoy – and you can almost double your time with the game if you aim to get its Platinum trophy. Kudos to KING ART Games and THQ Nordic for all the work that went into the adaptation of The Dwarves for PS4 as they’ve given us a very entertaining release. Here’s hoping we get a sequel next year!

The voice acting is not bad, and the story is deep and rich which will keep you engaged until the end, wondering what will happen next. Overall, this is a very fun game with a good variety of puzzles and an easy Platinum trophy to boot. I enjoyed my time with the game for my Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink Review, and I'm sure you will as well! Just be mindful of the missable trophies in the game unless you want to have to do a second run!

The music is something I didn’t like as it sounds really boring and monotonous. I think the music could be jazzed up a bit. I honestly ended up turning the music off in the game’s menu. Aside from that, I had an absolute blast playing Bridge Constructor, and I can easily recommend that you give this one a go on PlayStation 4.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero was a blast to play. Gameplay is near-perfect, the platforming sections were challenging, and the bosses were creative. When the only thing you can complain about the game is some grammar mistakes, you know you’re having a lot of fun actually playing it. If you are a fan of the previous games or like good exploration based action-platformers with a Metroidvania twist, then this is the game for you!

8 / 10 - Feist

I had a good time with Feist and loved what the game set out to do on PlayStation 4. There's more than enough content to keep you entertained, and the game's challenge will test your skills every step of the way. If you're looking for a 2D game on PlayStation 4 you should definitely check out Feist!

9 / 10 - Shu
Dec 15, 2016

I loved my time with the game for my Shu review. It’s a very polished, colorful and fun platformer with plenty of replay value and a Platinum trophy to boot, so there’s definitely something in this one for all to enjoy. If you want to 100% the game, you’ll need to be patient and learn from your mistakes so that you can find all collectibles and complete every level with all miscellaneous requirements. But in the end, it will be worth the effort.

Unscored - Neon Chrome
Dec 14, 2016

The game has a lot on offer and for a reasonable price. I enjoyed playing this release for my Neon Chrome review. While it’s not perfect, and it doesn’t have a Platinum trophy, it’s still a ver fun release you can enjoy either at home on your PS4 or on the go on your PS Vita.

This episode felt as if it was actually shorter than the previous three episodes, but it probably had more to do with there being less exposition to take care of since we’re only an episode away from the end. I look forward to playing City of Lights to see how it all ends, and I hope that a second season is in the cards because I’ve had a lot of fun with what Telltale Games is doing with the Batman license.

Overall the graphics are cute and stylish, the experimentation range is absolutely massive, and finding all combinations will take you many, many hours. The campaign mode is solid with many levels to play on all difficulties. As for trophy hunters, the good news is there is a Platinum trophy for Alchemic Jousts. The bad news is that it’s going to be a very time consuming and challenging Platinum to achieve, so the sooner you get started and the more you practice, the more progress you’ll make towards unlocking it.

The end of this episode is very much an unexpected twist, and it leaves things on a big cliffhanger for the events of Episode 4 to unravel. Let’s just say that after the final part of Episode 3, things will never be the same for Bruce Wayne or Batman. I really liked this episode, and can’t wait to see what Episode 4 brings!
