A repetitive dungeon-crawler that fits its price
I'm happy to report that Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is absolutely worth your time and money – you will be enthralled from start to finish. The game is massive, fun and has an interesting story with a lot of freedom for you to explore during the free time you have for each in-game day. If you're a fan of the series, then getting this one is a no-brainer.
Sonbringer is an absolute joy to play with lots of secrets to discover. The option in the game for entering a code to have a set world to explore which you can share with the rest of the world is a very interesting idea for a procedurally generated game, and it definitely made my experience with it better. Being able to play on your own or have a friend take over Jib is a nice option, and something I liked. If you're looking for a fun action game on PlayStation 4 and are a fan of the old-school The Legend of Zelda games, then you should definitely give Songbringer a go.
If you're looking for a weird but charming PlayStation 4 release where you roll a boulder around, with cutscenes that have a good sense of dry humor and a Monthy Pythong look to them, then Rock of Ages 2: Bigger and Boulder is exactly what you need on Sony's home console. There's plenty of content and a ton of weird weapons and boulders to use, so I'm sure you'll find something that pleases you. And if you don't, well, though luck!
Overall, Tiny Trax is a pleasure to play. It's exciting, visually lovely, and frustrating but addictive. It's these qualities that make the difference between a mediocre game and a great game – and Tiny Trax is a GREAT game. If you have PlayStation VR, you buy it this one since its inexpensive and a lot of fun. See you on the trax!
Strikers 1945 is a fun shoot 'em up that Nintendo Switch owners are going to enjoy. There are several graphical options to add filters to the look of the game, not to mention that you can switch the game's display to be vertical, take your Joy-Con out and place the Switch vertically to play the game just like you could back in the day, with your very own small arcade-style display.
ARK: Survival Evolved is still a good game, but it's not a one friendly with newcomers. Getting to the enjoyable part of the game will take hours, so gamers need to be willing to put the time into it. The game looks even better now than it did before, making you fear for your life when you see the hulking beasts out to get you, not to mention the gorgeous environments you'll explore.
PSN Price (PlayStation 4): $59.99
The Fame and Strategy expansion pack is something you should certainly get for Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII as it adds a lot of new content, gameplay mechanics and tools that will make a solid game even better. I highly recommend this DLC for the main game, so be sure not to let its price keep you from adding this pack of extra content, as it is definitely worth every penny!
The Enigma is a strong start for This Batman: The Telltale Series The Enemy Within, and I definitely look forward to seeing what Telltale Games does with this new season. I liked the liberties they took with Batman's origin and how his extended family of rogues reacted to him, so after enjoying this new episode I'm sure Telltale Games is going to give us a good second season.
Last Day of June is a unique experience with a great art style, and an interesting story that unfolds through the eyes of the different characters felt great. I definitely recommend this game to those of you looking for something new to try on PlayStation 4!
If you like point and click games, you're in for a really good time with this game, even more so if you're a fan of Maniac Mansion! Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick have worked on quite a lot of great games in the past, and Thimbleweed Park is a worthy addition to their lists. I hope we don't have to wait too long for their nexst game!
Yakuza Kiwami is an excellent upgrade of the first game in the long-running Yakuza series and a must-have on PlayStation 4. It might feel shorter for those of you who first got a taste of the series with either Yakuza 5 or Yakuza 0, but this release is faithful to the original on PlayStation 2, with revamped graphics and frame rate, content that was missing from the game when it arrived on PS2 back in the day, as well as additional content, all for only $29.99. I really enjoyed my time with Yakuza Kiwami, and look forward to playing Yakuza 6, as well as the recently announced Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Comet Crash 2: The Kronkoid Wars is a great sequel and a fun release. The graphics are great with a nice level of polish, making it easy to focus on the action all over the screen. As long as you give the tutorial a go and don't end up running blindly into the main campaign, you'll have a ton of fun during the single player campaign before you dive into the multiplayer.
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is a relaxing, colorful, charming and fun release on PlayStation 4 that you should definitely checkout. It offers a lot of content and a full trophy list that is very entertaining as it marks the many milestones you'll reach. You can check it out digitally straight from the PSN store, but if you like physical copies with bonus items, you can check out the Collector's release from Signature Editions by clicking right here.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is a massive game for PlayStation 4 and Vita with so much to do. It's a very fun and gorgeous game with a solid story, making this a game that you have to play on PlayStation 4 today. It's definitely now in the running for Game of the Year (at least in my book), and hopefully you will feel the same once you get started with your adventure!
Overall I liked this episode, which is a problem since it makes me want to play the next episode right now! Of course, Giant Consequences ends on a cliffhanger, and I'm not even sure what direction will be taken by the next episode!
If you are a fan of “walking simulator games, you'll probably enjoy Neptune Flux, even if it is short and does lacks the story depth that you find in games such as Gone Home. With the way your field of view is limited since you're deep under water, playing the game on PS VR is definitely the way to go.
Be sure to give this one a go as it's worthy of your time and money
Chime has done it again with Zero Time Dilemma, giving us a game that is a must-have for fans of visual novels, and even more so for fans of the series.
