A beautiful if brief puzzle platformer that invokes the spirit of Flash gaming.
Bomb Chicken isn't an innovative, genre-shaking, powerhouse. It doesn't set out to be. Instead, you get some real solid 2D platforming action with a unique mechanic that sets it apart from its predecessors.
Bomb Chicken kind of came out of nowhere, and I completely lost track of time after my first session with it. It's good clean arcade fun with a cute mascot -- a perfect fit on Switch.
Bomb Chicken is a visually stunning and smart game, with a lovable (and explosive) main character.

Bomb Chicken is a fun little platformer that doesn't quite manage to balance its difficulty consistently throughout its entirety. Simple mechanics and an adorable fat hen do mean though that you'll have a good time for the most part.
Bomb Chicken is a very innovative puzzle-platformer that unfortunately suffers from a short runtime and limited replay value. However, for those that want a quick little single-player game that stars a cute chicken, there is no game better suited for the job.
Though a touch short and overly streamlined in its vision, Bomb Chicken nonetheless offers up a tremendously entertaining, highly digestible and resolutely clever platformer that everyone will be able to enjoy.
There's nothing particularly revolutionary about Bomb Chicken, it's enjoyable predominantly because of its classic approach and how refined each aspect of the game is including the core bomb-laying mechanic. Each level is intelligently designed and has a great sense of flow. The puzzles and enemies are fair but challenging and the controls are precise and responsive. Unlike fast food, this isn't a cheap, quick and nasty solution that will leave you regretting your purchase - this is a blast.
